Regularly practicing mindfulness is the key to deriving lasting benefits. The Now was built for just this purpose, to reminder you to just stop, breathe, and focus.

Happiness = Mindfulness. Don't take our word for it, some of the greatest authors, philosophers, scientists, and leaders of all time agree:

"You must live in the present, launch yourself on every wave, find your eternity in each moment." - Henry David Thoreau

"Do not dwell in the past, do not dream of the future, concentrate the mind on the present moment." - Buddha

"I never think of the future. It comes soon enough." - Albert Einstein

"We are always getting ready to live but never living." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

"Confine yourself to the present." - Marcus Aurelius

You may have been exposed to the concept of the now through reading a self help book on the subject, some of the most popular being “The Precious Present” by Spencer Johnson M.D., “Power of Now” by Eckhart Tolle, and "Mindfulness: An Eight-Week Plan for Finding Peace in a Frantic World" by Mark Williams. Like all self help books, they only help if you put the concepts into practice and that is exactly what The Now was created for.

Mindfulness Dilutes Mindless Moments

The chaos that tends to overrun much of our days can literally destroy our best intentions and shape our mindsets. In a world filled with traffic jams and road rage, hustling hard and shuffling and juggling, and can't stop, won't stop... This is one of the best apps to help pull us back to what really matters in our lives. One tiny, significant moment is worth a million more worthless hours. I adore The Now, and the ability to customize each diamond we wake up to or open our eyes to in the midst of it all, albeit small, these are the genuinely pure and tangible moments that will impact us in ways to come for years to follow.

I LOVE this app!

At first I thought this might be one of those apps I would download and think it was cool for a few days, and then forget about it, but I haven't! It's one of my favorite apps now. It's so nice to be in the heat of the day when I'm most stressed and get a notification from The Now that just reminds me to focus on the present and breathe. Plus I can save all my favorite quotes and use them as my wallpaper, which is such a nice feature. It really is a beautiful app, and I love having it constantly remind me to focus on The Now.

Lululemon... really?

I downloaded this app based on the positive reviews. While some of the quotes very nice, many were also a bit glib. I was willing to give the app more of a chance, but then a quote popped up that was attributed to "lululemon." Given the well-documented reports of lululemon's horrible treatment of their workers and their customers, not to mention their public disparaging comments about women in general, I see no need to seek inspiration from them. Surely there are many thinkers out there to be quoted who actually live mindfulness rather than corrupt it and monetize it. Unfortunately, I found this quote distracting and the promotion of such a company upsetting, which defeats the purpose of this app.
