Ratings and Reviews

Editors’ Notes

The Internet is home to roughly 89 bazillion videos on every conceivable topic, including completely made-up numbers like “bazillion.” Since literally no one has time for that, The Scene skims the luscious cream off the top, offering awesome clips from Condé Nast properties like Wired, GQ, Ars Technica, and Vanity Fair, as well as partner sites BuzzFeed, The Onion, and more. After sussing out your personal preferences, The Scene serves filler-free videos that intrigue and entertain, covering a gazillion different interests.

The Scene

This is a well designed mobile take on the video service. Like the website or Apple TV application you can watch videos from a diverse group of sources such as Ars Technica, Vanity Fair, GQ, Bon Apetit and many others. The app allows you to save the brands you want to follow as well as subjects such as Arts, Design, Men and Women's styles, Video Games, Sports, Love and more. You can also share and like videos as well as connect to Facebook to follow the people you want. The app also allows users to search by keyword. The design is sleek, minimalist, and video playback runs smooth and quick. It is easy to navigate with users only having to scroll up and down in a brand or category video feed. The one suggestion I have is for the app to deepen the feeds as only the latest seven or eight videos seem available for playback. The service has too much content I think to allow for this limited feed.

Literally everything

I am already obsessed with all the different videos available. It has everything for every mood I'm in, whether I want to try to cook like an adult or just watch a Kendall Jenner video. I love love love the download for later feature — it makes it so much easier to watch things when I have spotty connection or when I'm on the subway.
