The Share App - Photo Sharing
By The Share Company
This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.
**Currently Serving the Los Angeles Area Only**
When you are out with a group of friends and want to take a group picture, you usually find a person to take that picture, and they end up holding 10 phones trying to take the exact same picture 10 times. We do this because there's no easy way to share our pictures. That's why we created Share.
With Share, someone could take a picture of you, and you would immediately get that picture on your phone, not because you're friends or connected in any way, but because you're Nearby. Share is a location based photo sharing app that allows you to share moments with people around you.
Now you may not want your neighbors to see the pictures that you're sharing, so you can create an Event. An event can be public or password-protected, and it allows you to share pictures with a smaller group of people. For example you can create #JennsBdayParty, and you tell all of your friends to post their pictures to #JennsBdayParty, and now you all have a single places to post and view everyone's pictures in real time, and at the end of the night everyone can download and keep the pictures that they like!
Sharing pictures with those around you, by Posting to Nearby, also means you have the ability to browse pictures that are posted around you, and discover what's happening in your neighborhood through pictures. So it's similar to your Instagram or Facebook feed, but instead of just seeing things from people you know, you're seeing pictures from EVERYONE around you. It's a cool and unique way to discover new things in real time.
What's New in Version 1.3.2
Hi everyone, welcome to the latest update of Share -- we have added iPhone X support! The app looks great in the big screen and we're excited to get your comments on how it looks.
Some additional changes:
- big performance improvements in photo loading! We cleaned up and optimized some code that should help you get those sweet photos even faster.
- notification count badge fix -- for those in the know, we went through fire and ice to better notify you when there are notifications. But of course, our fans ALWAYS open the app immediately when they get a notification anyways, right? right?
Go forth and try it out, especially if you have an iPhone X! We would love to hear your thoughts.
