**World Class Design: Featured in Apple's Human Design Guidelines**

Transit is your real-time urban travel companion. Navigate your city’s public transit system with accurate real-time predictions, simple trip planning, step-by-step navigation, service disruption notifications, and departure and stop reminders... all presented in a clear, bold interface. Public transport not cooperating? Easily request an Uber, reserve a car2go, or grab the closest bike share.

1) See real-time arrivals for nearby buses and trains instantly upon launch.
2) Watch your transit vehicle approaching on a map in real-time*
3) Compare options with powerful A to B trip plans using real-time data.
4) Launch GO for step-by-step navigation when you’re on an unfamiliar route or want to nap/read/space out.*
5) Receive departure alarms and stop notifications as well as prompts to pick up the pace in GO.*
6) Get push notifications if service disruptions will affect your commute.
7) View transit schedules and route itineraries—even when you’re offline!
8) Locate bike share stations, see the number of bikes available, pay for passes, and unlock bikes (in select cities).
9) Check ETA (and surge) for nearby Ubers, and book in two taps.
10) View availability and book cars with car2go and other local car-share services.

*continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

What's New in Version 4.0.2

Transit has been experiencing a few growing pains since last week’s much anticipated arrival. If we’ve disrupted your daily doings, we’re sorry.

That’s not a Canadian, “I’m apologizing even though I have nothing to be sorry about” sorry. It’s a genuine, heartfelt, “we tried, but sometimes things don’t work out the way we’d like” sorry.

And we’re making it up to you.

If you updated to iOS 10, your widget will no longer give you a blanker stare than Jake when he's asked if he did the dishes. It’ll also no longer be using location services in the background, squeezing the life out of your battery like a boa constrictor cuddling a capybara.

GO will also lighten up on battery use, so you can navigate your city without fearing the death of your phone. So try it again! More improvements coming in 4.1.

We’ve gone on a bug extermination rampage. This time we’re not sorry. Now past-tense bugs include:
- The big hairy one that was messing with real-time predictions when selecting GO for a specific time in the schedule list
- The sly one that made GO ignore your departure time when you planned a future trip
- The devious one that caused crashes when starting GO
- The sadistic one that would show walking as your only option because it thinks it's funny to watch people suffer

We’re gonna keep on squashin’ those bugs. In the meanwhile, please do mosey on over to the app store and rate us five stars if you like cuddles (but not from boa constrictors).

Reliable Information on the Go

I can safely say that I use this service daily and it helps when planning your activities by public transportation. Keep up the good work. Your team is providing a very valuable service.

I must also give a shout out to the team responsible for the update notes. It's always a pleasure to read the release notes since the launch of 4.0.x. I have not had that much fun reading the "What's New" section of app releases.

Apology accepted. I do believe that it is genuine. Keep improving the product and services. 👏🏾👌🏾👍🏾

Transit review

I love this app, they make public transit that much easier to take in San Francisco. I always use it to check Muni times. Also, their app updates always have the funniest update descriptions. I always make sure to read them.

Keep up the good work, you guys are probably more exciting then peanut butter and jelly the day it was discovered. But I also wish you guys had Siri support so I can ask Siri when my next train is boarding, that would be the Nutella on the cracker.
