The Vienna Project

By CSS Computer-Systems-Support GmbH

This app is only available on the App Store for iOS devices.

Description

The app is part of THE VIENNA PROJECT, a new social action memorial project. It is the first to symbolically represent, in a differentiated format, the multiple groups of persecuted victims of National Socialism.

At the heart of the app is the city map showing the 38 memory spaces, with the archival history of each site. The historical information will be updated regularly with animated, contemporary multi-media input during the project. Part of the map is an overlay, developed by international artist, Nikolaus Gansterer, which incorporates archival letters written by victims and survivors.

Additionally the app offers a calendar with events, information on the educational programs and the project in general.
