Not as good as it used to be

Up to a few months ago, I would have given this app a full 5 stars because it performed wonderfully. But now I have to downgrade my rating to 3 stars because I'm having all sorts of problems with it. I've contacted The Washington Post's customer service division, but they haven't been able to help me. The two main problems I currently have with the app are, first, it no longer automatically downloads the print edition and, secondly, it no longer saves articles and columns I want to come back to. Up until a few months ago, these were not issues with the app, but today they are. Almost everyday I receive a notification asking if I want the print edition to download automatically at 4:30 A.M. I always say "yes," but the next morning the print edition is not downloaded, and I have to wait for it to download. And, secondly, I used to be able to save for weeks or months at a time articles and columns for later reference or for classroom use, but now the app only saves articles and columns for a day or two before they disappear, and I have to track them down again. If The Post could fix these problems, I would give its app 5 stars, but as long as these problems persist, I can only give it 3 stars.

Great improvement

I have to say that the current version of the print edition Washington Post has been a joy. The visuals and text are excellent. I am very pleased. The pages seem to turn quite naturally and they the zoom feature is straightforward. The only concerns are that there is a bit of time required to download and the interface is a little complicated especially if you have no need to download certain sections. But that is a minor issue in an otherwise well implemented newspaper. I hope you get the enjoyment that I have had.

Vast Improvements

I'm a Post devotee, print & electronic versions. Our family has 2 iPads, 2 iPhones and a MacBook Pro. We access the Post on all of them. I've gone thru the painful start of the iPad/iPhone App. Wasn't near as slick as the latest versions. I may even stop getting the print version some day, especially now that the crossword puzzle function is quite reliable. The online games are appreciated to and can't be duplicated via print.
Thanks for the continuous improvements IT Team.
