HERE'S HOW THINGS WORKS
If you're new to Things, this is the basic workflow:
1. Collect Your Thoughts
Get things off your mind quickly with Things’ action extension – it lets you create to-dos from other apps. Or just talk to Siri on any device (“Remind me to...”) and import from Reminders.
2. Get Organized
Create a project for each of your goals, then add the steps to reach them. For clarity, add structure with headings. Then group your projects by areas of responsibility, such as “Family”, “Work”, or “Health”. Review these regularly to stay on top of things.
3. Plan Your Time
See your calendar events alongside your to-dos and plan your time effectively. Create repeating to-dos for things you do every few days, weeks, or months – Things will remind you on the right day.
4. Make the Most of Your Day
Every morning, grab a coffee and prepare your list for “Today”: review previously planned to-dos and make quick decisions on what to tackle. Pick some more steps from your projects and then get going. The Today list is the only place you’ll need to look for the rest of the day.
5. Customize Your Workflow
Use tags to categorize your to-dos or add context. For example, tag places like “Office” or “Home”, or tag all your “Errands”, or everything you’re working on with “Kate”. You can easily find everything you’ve tagged via filtering or search.
HERE'S WHY WE THINK YOU'LL LOVE THINGS
1. It stays out of your way.
As you start using Things, you’ll quickly notice how seamlessly all the features fit together to give you an uncluttered, focused experience. There are no unnecessary frills. No pointless gimmicks or useless controls. In fact, you’ll hardly notice the app – it’s just you and your to-dos.
2. Everything revolves around your to-dos.
In Things, each of your to-dos are special. In a list, they simply show a checkbox and the title of your to-do. But when you open them, they extend into a beautiful white piece of paper that’s ready to hold your thoughts. Additional details (checklists, tags, reminders, deadline) are nicely tucked away in the corner until you need them.
3. It’s got a touch of magic.
Things removes friction in magical ways. Take the new Magic Plus Button that lets you insert to-dos at any place in a list – simply via drag and drop. Or the ease at which you can multi-select and operate on many to-dos at once. Or the natural language date parser: just type “tomorrow”, “in 4 days", or “next Wednesday", and it will jump to all the right conclusions.
4. It’s got all the power of iOS.
Things is fully integrated with all the latest iOS technologies: Apple Watch, Calendars, Siri & Reminders, Today Widget, Quick Actions, Action Extension, Handoff, and Notifications.
5. And much more...
Everyone's got their favorite feature, it's impossible to list them all. See what our users love about Things – visit our website at: thingsapp.com

What's New in Version 3.0.2
Things has been completely rebuilt, with excellent new features and a beautiful new design. Here’s what’s new on the iPhone:
• ALL-NEW DESIGN
How it looks, how it works, and how it feels – Things has been completely redesigned, with more clarity, improved workflows, better structure, and delightful animations. It’s a to-do list like no other.
• PROJECT HEADINGS
It’s so much easier to handle your projects now that you can break them up with headings. Use them to create categories, milestones, or whatever you need.
• CHECKLISTS
Some things take several steps to complete but don’t require a full-blown project. So we now have Checklists, which help you break down the finer details of a to-do. Use them for shopping lists, when packing your bag for a trip, or to detail a process at work so you won’t miss a critical step.
• DESKTOP-CLASS LIST EDITING
Editing your lists on iOS now comes with lots of power, and no friction. Swipe to-dos to multi-select them, then edit them all at once: set their date, move them to another list, or tap and drag the group together.
• MAGIC PLUS BUTTON
Finally, a versatile way to insert a to-do right where you want it! Just drag the magical button with your finger and let go. You can also drag it toward the left margin in a project to create a Heading, or drop a new item to your inbox from any other list.
• CALENDAR INTEGRATION
Display calendar events alongside your to-dos and stay on top of your schedule. They will show at the top of your Today list, and for each day in Upcoming, where you plan the week ahead.
• SWIPE TO SCHEDULE
Working with dates is super easy with the new When selector. Simply swipe on any to-do to bring it up, then quickly choose when you want to start: Today, a later date, or it on hold in Someday.
• NATURAL LANGUAGE RECOGNITION
The When Selector has a magical ingredient: Natural Language Recognition. It smartly detects what you’re typing to work out what you mean... “Tom(orrow)”, “Sat(urday)”, “in fou(r days)”, “Au(gust 1)”. As you can see, it jumps to all the right conclusions.
• PLAN YOUR DAY – WITH TODAY AND THIS EVENING
Once you’ve made your plan, the Today list is your go-to place for all daily activities. Calendar events now display at the top, giving an outline of your schedule. Your to-dos follow, with a discrete section at the bottom called This Evening for things you’ll get to later in the day.
• PLAN YOUR WEEK – WITH UPCOMING
Plan your week ahead with the new Upcoming list. It shows everything on your agenda for the coming days: scheduled to-dos, repeating to-dos, deadlines, and calendar events. A quick peek at this list is all it takes to stay on top of your schedule.
• REMINDERS
One of Things’ most-requested features is now here: time-based reminders! You can add a reminder by typing (natural language recognition), or just speak to Siri. For those to-dos you absolutely cannot miss, reminders will give you peace of mind.
• QUICK FIND
Search and navigation in Things is now extremely fast, with Quick Find. All you need to do is swipe down in any list and start typing – the name of a project, to-do, or tag – and instantly you’re taken there. It’s magic!
• APP-WIDE TAG FILTERS
Just search for the name of any tag to pull up an app-wide filter. It shows all items with that tag across all your projects and areas. It’s a fantastically versatile way to view your to-dos.
• THE NEW SOURCE LIST
Projects are now shown directly under their areas to keep everything tidy. Each one also has a progress indicator that shows just how close you are to achieving your goal.
• AND MUCH MORE
The all-new Things is also available for Mac and iPad (sold separately). Go to our website to learn more: thingsapp.com

Customer Reviews
I can't live without it now.
I was a Things user in the past but not having native Siri reminder support was a deal breaker. I kept using the simple and buggy native reminders app. Now that Things 3 enables you to say "remind me to __" without telling Siri that you're specifically talking to Things I'll never go back. This is by far the best designed and most intuitive app for task and workflow management. You can go as shallow or as deep as you'd like with customization, tagging, and organization within the app if that's your style and it's as good to use regardless. For example, being able to just create a "personal" and "work" area is enough for some people. But being able to use those areas with nested projects, tags, and scheduling is a game changer for me. Top it all off with the new "upcoming" view that can integrate your local, cloud, exchange, and subscribed calendars on one page and the simple to-do app is now my one and only productivity app. I know this all sounds way too supportive to be from an end user but that's really the case. I would recommend this app to anyone.
Perfection
I have tried all the todo apps you can think of, and Things has always been the best. As a user of Things 2 since 2014, I have been eagerly awaiting Things 3. It is everything I hoped for and more. It has all of the features that made v2 great, as well as some new ones that make it much better.
The main concept is still wonderful, the Today list. You pick the tasks you want to complete today, drag them in any order, and go about your day. It works great, always has and always will. The Scheduled list in Things 3 has become Upcoming, in which you can actually plan your days ahead for the next week as well as the future months and years. It works great, as in Things 2 you couldn’t set the specific order of what you wanted to do the next day. Similarly, the Next list has become Anytime, which also works well.
Projects have received a major overhaul that greatly increases productivity. The nice little progress indicator circles are a great addition, as well as the inclusion of Headings, to group your todos in any way you want inside a project.
Finally, the main aspect of Things 2 that I didn’t like was the lack of reminders, which is now included in Things 3! It works wonderfully. Additionally, more feature parity has been brought to the applications. For exampe, duplicating tasks and making existing tasks repeat were only possible on Mac; they are both now also possible on iOS
To conclude, this is a great app and I would recommend it to anybody.
Awesome, fun, really not else to say
I've used several other similar, and one I also recommend. But, Things, has such fantastic interface with plenty of power and flexibility to work. The "other" app actually has more features but in the end, I didn't use most of the features because it was just to daunting, taxing, or confusing to bother. Here, somehow all the things just appear as I think or need them, otherwise they are hidden out of the way. Here I have no worries to doing it "wrong" or worries of changing needs because it's so easily convertible. The "Other" app, although good, is a bit obsessed with dates then turns to pest you with it. Things doesn't push dates unless you want it.
Things is like moving from consumer electronics to high end units. Consumer electronics tend to be stuffed with see my handy goodies but in the end nobody uses them because they are useless. Move to highend electronics and they concentrate on real needs and we'll planned quality system.
