Finally fixed multiplayer bugs, but...

This version finally fixed the multiplayer bugs that have been making play via Game Center nearly impossible for the last couple of years! Plus it's now possible to get all the maps in one iPhone app, rather than needing two. *And* this is now a universal app. Fantastic!

But... I only gave this app three stars because, while it is great that these improvements have been made, the developers don't seem to have fully considered the user experience for previous users of this app. There is no way to play with a Game Center friend. There is no way to add a person as a friend unless you are both logged in at the same time and tell each other your usernames. The developers seem to think that users should be able to figure this stuff out, but, having walked three or four people through it in the last couple of days, it is by no means obvious, and it is certainly not intuitive.

It makes complete sense that the developers would want to host all games on their servers. And it definitely works better than it did before, once you can manage to get into a game with your friends. Just please do something to make finding your friends and starting games with them more intuitive!

Not quite a catastrophe, but not great

I LOVED this game, emphasis on past tense. I was excited to see that they had finally made the India and Asia maps digital and was super excited to play, both solo and local. But after one solo game (and a fit to get the game to sort of reconnected to Game Center and see all my previous stats, which still haven't shown up) I was totally dizzy! In the one game I played I didn't have any of the bugs others talk about, but the new graphics are garishly large, painfully bright, and the slow speed is dizzyingly fast and over powering, plus the pop up banners which use to be small and helpful are now big and disruptive making it hard to play the game (it shouldn't block the board so I can't see what I need just to remind me that I need a second card, like duh I would forget). There seems to be a lot more (needless) animation that is more distracting and annoying rather than helpful or even "cool" -- not everything should move, be big, or sparkle. I'm desperately hoping that they revert to some of the older animation and design lay out, or I may never do anything but play the old Europe and Swiss maps in the other app that they haven't messed up. Definitely waiting to buy Asia and India.

Latest update ruined it!

I've never written a review for an app before, but after this catastrophe, I felt led to speak my mind.
The game was perfectly fine before this update. Now, it's gotten so buggy. Yes, like everyone else has been saying, the banner that pops out is annoying. But, that's not even what brought me here. Halfway through the game, the deck starts laying out all "random color" cards and resets the cards many times in a row until it just quits and leaves them out on the board, even when they're not supposed to be there. And sometimes not all five cards get laid out. It claims the deck has run out and just leaves 1-4 cards on the table. On my turn, during that time, if I were to lay my trains on the board, a color train card would suddenly be put on the board. Weird!
And, I swear I've seen some AI players manage to draw a train card and then lay down their train pieces in their same turn! Maybe that's an updated rule I wasn't informed about (I dunno), but I really doubt it. Just sounds like another bug.
PLEASE. FIX. THIS. I want to enjoy this game again. Otherwise, it's getting removed and I'll resort back to playing the real tabletop game with my friends, which I'd be fine with.
