What's New in Version 1.4
* Minor bug fix
Useful information; awful awful delivery
1. Over every screen appears a warning message that there is a poor internet connection and not all content has been loaded. Hmm, looks like it's all there. Check speed test: 24 megabits. Any problems on the densest web pages? no. Go back to Time Out New York's app. Says I have a poor connection. Over every individual event screen. I have to click that message off before reading every screen?!? Oh, no, I don't have to. I go elsewhere.
2. Also, the day of the upcoming event is hidden in the text ("celebrate Tax Day"-- must be on April 15th) rather than simply presented like the location and web site. Why?
Frustrating and baffling subset of magazine's content
Timeout -- the magazine -- is unquestionably the ultimate reference source for anything going on here in New York.
This app is frustratingly incomplete. For example, clicking on the theatre option shows only about a dozen or so productions, although there are over a hundred listed in the magazine. And even worse, the shows listed aren't the Timeout editors' picks -- they include shows that its critics have panned.
It could be a definitive list of everything going on. Instead, it's a baffling and inconsistent list. Timeout has snatched defeat from the jaws of victory.
Poor connection at 30mbps??
So, I have an incredibly fast internet connection that works splendidly everywhere, but TimeOut reports a "Poor Connection"?
Perhaps TimeOut in fact has terrible server performance and tries to hide it by suggesting it's an ISP issue? Tacky!
This app should be removed from App Store as it clearly died.
