They broke it!!
This app used to be amazing and I was so excited when I saw the update because I thought they were finally going to give me 24hr cloud access on the go along with the ability to still watch video clips. But now the video clips show up but will not play, I originally thought this was just an iPhone problem but I see that it affects my iPad the same way. So now if I'm out of town or at work and someone opens or closes my front door the sense of security I felt to be able to watch a video of who was entering or exiting my home is gone. I can't even get access to the 24hr cloud video or the pre-recorded clips on the touchscreen that TWC provided that controls my entire system. So the only way I can gain access to the 24hr cloud storage or the pre-recorded clips is to login on a Mac or PC which sometimes I may not be able to do. Now it just seems this app is a glorified remote control with only basic features. Looks like it's time to start shopping around for new security system. Thanks a lot Time Warner Cable
24/7 playback is useless
I had been paying for the 24/7 playback service for over 6 months and the two times I needed to access the recordings I was told that the cameras were offline during that time period. After a brief call to customer support the gentlemen told me that from July to the current month of December there hadn't been a single recording from the camera I was trying to access. So for 4 whole months of me paying for the service I wasn't receiving it.
Clearly if you have 5 security cameras installed in your house and the two that you have toggled to record aren't recording you might as well not have any cameras at all.
I must say I am extremely disappointed with their service and I won't be using these cameras anymore.
Big Step Backward 😡
The latest update is a significant step backward in several ways. In addition to being just plain bland, the layout is no longer intuitive or user-friendly. The login screen does not appear immediately upon launch (instead, it takes an extra step). If you disable any zones before activating the alarm, the disabled zones no longer "jump" to the top of the list, forcing you to scroll, so it's cumbersome to quickly verify which zones you've toggled off before arming the system. A camera view automatically appears on the first screen, but why? Etc., etc. Moreover, the latest version offers nothing new. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
