Could be great…I yelled that from the couch.
The job displays in the Menu Bar and next to it, even in the largest setting, the time for that job doesn’t display. There is no way to show the seconds or colon flashing so you don’t see any movement, even when you have the window open.
Editing something simple like the time of a job seems a bit clunky but it could be that I am not used to the interface.
Double-clicking on the number and being able to edit it, seems archaic.
Don’t like that you can’t put the Time Cop window where ever you want to. It is stuck to the Menu Bar display so you can’t move it to the bottom corner of your screen. You cant resize the window if you have a larger list of days you are working so you have to scroll. I sometimes like to keep an eye on time when I work. Leaving the window floating; or always active is not a viable option for me.
You have to be able to manually add a day then time. I worked for four hours with a client today at their office and because I didn’t start the timer once during the day I needed it in, I can’t add that time to the proper day.
Checkbox for Start Up Item.
An option for a dock icon.
Would be nice:
I know adding money (Client list with what you charge them) to the time is not part of what was sold here but it is really missing.
Stretch or get-up reminder.
Alarm. Threw the last two in cause I can type.
Just what I needed
As a student, I spend a lot of time working at my computer, and even more time at my computer not working (when I probably should be). I wanted an easy way to keep track of how much time I was spending on each of my classes and how much time I was spending on other stuff. This app is functional, easy to use, and does exactly what i need it to.
Overall a good app that I use often. However, if it had two features it would be perfect. Namely, the ability to automaticially stop recording your time via option if 1. your screensaver is on and most importantly, 2. stop recording time when the computer goes to sleep. Otherwise, I find myself having to manually compute my time anyway when I try to correct it after accidently failing to "clock out".
