Horrible update!!! 😩
Why can I no longer tap on a picture to save it?? Why would you remove that capability?? You actually had added a feature where you could tap to save an image or post, but with this most recent update, that's gone. (I also liked the feature where posts and photos I was tagged in would show up.) And that awful music that starts blaring from my phone??? Oh. My. Gosh. It startled the mess out of me and I couldn't figure out how to make it stop!!! I keep my phone on vibrate so that I can control the sound coming from it. And I don't care about whatever it is that you are showing with it. All I want to see is my own stuff. Please fix ASAP!!!!
New update wasn't thought through.
I've never had an issue with anything TimeHop. It's a simple app, that I certainly don't need but enjoy looking through. The new update including the "Retrovideo" is startlingly disruptive though. I've never met an app of their popularity that was thoughtless enough to override your sound settings and blast music. (Music you're not in control of no less--if we need reminded what we did a year ago ... No way we'll remember if we liked the music.) All that said. It seems thoughtless and if not adjusted, I'm not interested in using the app anymore. It's not quite worth the fear of scrolling down and having tunes of the past unexpected blared at me.
I use it
Update: this update is awful. I wish this review could be obnoxiously self running and loud and off topic like the self playing video that is now included in my daily update. I totally hate it, can't find a way to not have it, and will soon stop using the app if it does t go away!
What's one mark of a good app? For me, it's that I actually use it. I have tons of apps that sit in my phone and never get used. I use Time Hop, quite frequently, almost daily. I love that in just seconds I can see where and how I was… last year, 2, 3… 5 years ago. Sometimes, that insight is quite useful. If you have any kind of history of posting to social media, TimeHop may be a real fun thing for you to have.
