Not reliable, unfortunately
I love the idea of multiple timers and it would be very useful, so I decided to try out this app.
I tested this app with a 30 minute timer which I was relying on to go off.
Unfortunately, unlike Apple’s built-in timer with with alarms that will go off even with “Do Not Disturb” enabled, this app does not do likewise. I received no alarm even though I requested an audible alarm. I didn’t I forgot about the alarm and checked it about an hour later and saw only badge indicating that I had a notification. I had the default settings for the app and able to which include sounds audible alarms every type of notification that was the default setting. Yet I did not receive any sort of alarm sound.
I do always expect alarm apps to override any “Do Not Disturb“ settings. Alarms are set for a reason, and they should interrupt everything in my opinion. If I want to use vibrate mode, I can choose to do that. And I can turn off sound if I want. I want my alarms to behave as Apple’s default alarm app does— they should override “Do Not Disturb.“
I did not try out the multi-alarm feature, so I cannot speak to that. I did find the interface somewhat clunky. I initially said it for 30 minutes, then I wanted to flip it backwards to 29 or 28 minutes, and I ended up after fiddling with it for a few minutes just deleting the alarm and re-doing it. I would rather not have deleted it, since I had already given it a custom name.
My go-to timer app! But...
I agree with another user who said it needs to show how long ago the timer expired, once it expires. For instance, if I set a 10 minute alarm and step away from my phone, when I return, if it's going off, it'd be nice to know how long it's been going off. That'd be very useful. Also, more & more, it's not even ALARMING when the time expires. I'll catch it in the final 10 or 15 seconds. Will watch it go 3, 2, 1 and then automatically reset itself like nothing happened. I use this two times a day EVERY day for work purposes. Missing alarms CANNOT happen! But it does this twice a week, minimum. I honestly feel like I have to babysit the timer now. I love the app which is why I still use it. Feel bad even giving it 3 stars but it's imperative for a timer app to work properly 100% of the time.
Multiple Timers Without The Extra Headache!
⏰💊💊⏰ I use Timer7 to take medications on a strict schedule. Timer7 makes setting and following multiple timers so simple! Set up the details once, and just have to tap reset every time. Miss a timer and it displays the elapsed time!
Timer7 keeps it simple, but has fun little customizable touches like 6 color tints and 23 alarms sounds. Love it! 🙂
