TimerTrek is an app that focuses on providing a single countdown timer using futuristic graphics. TimerTrek can be configured in a variety of viewing modes: Full-Screen, Windowed, GigaTimer, and NanoTimer mode. The first two modes have all of the controls available to configure the timer. The second two modes just show the timer. NanoTimer mode uses a view size of 700 x 400 pixels.
Teachers find it useful during exams, to show students how much test time remains.
Podcasters/Netcasters use it in their workflow to keep their productions on track, especially those with ADD and a propensity to rathole or chase untamed ornithoids without justifiable cause.
There are 35 gradient themes and 15 Sound FX to choose from.
When the Countdown Timer fires, it automatically brings the app to focus, so you will never miss an alarm, even when you are running in Silent Mode.
Click one of the seven bars at the bottom of the view to choose how much detail is shown between the brackets.
Click the right bracket to dim/undim the seconds readout.
The Countdown Timer has:
• GigaTimer Mode.
• NanoTimer Mode.
• A maximum time value of 99 hours 59 minutes and 59 seconds.
• Individual Hours:Minutes:Seconds Up/Down buttons that rollover.
• Decrementing Red Progress Bar during countdown for quick visual inspection.
• Subtle Progress Bar in the right Bracket that only tracks the seconds readout.
• Big Flashing Indicator when the countdown completes.
• Alarm Sound repeats after 2 seconds when the countdown completes.
• Start Time.

What's New in Version 1.2.0
Fixed a bug that prevented the app from quitting properly after a timer was run.
Love this timer
I have a problem with procrastination and getting things done in a focused, timely manner. Cue TimerTrek, which makes doing things in timed increments so much more pleasant than any other timer I've used. And I've tried plenty. Other timers have alarms that make me wanna pee myself when they go off because they're so jarring. The chimes in TimerTrek are so familiar, so comforting and so pleasant to hear that it makes me smile. The interface is endearingly familiar to those who love Star Trek making me LOVE using this. You can turn down the amount of features and have it give you a streamlined interface or you can have it post fun details and minutiae like today's Stardate or the start/finish time. Like any nerd I love to procrastinate and use timers a la Flylady to get things done. This timer makes being productive fun. Thanks for making this free! The only thing I'd change is to make the time changeable by typing an option, rather than holding down a button and watch the number decrease to what I want. Sometimes I overshoot and have to try again lol.
The one thing that would make it better...
I like the timer, and it's pretty cool. I just wish it could be hidden in the dock while running.
But the one thing I think would make it really cool is if it had a similar Star Trek computer voice to announce at the end of the countdown.
But maybe I'm expecting too much for a 99cent app.
To Cool .....
Digital Jazz man ...... This thing looks neat and the best part is when the alarm goes off it's not just a
simple one or two " pings "
It alarms untill you shut it off .. that way you don't miss it .
Sounds just like the effects from the origianl 1969 Star Trek .. love it
