Tinnitus Alleviator is a proprietary tinnitus management application that will lower tinnitus awareness by 40-50%. This is not a masker or white noise generator that is offered by other companies – our application is so much more. Only Neuromonics offers the first application to manage your tinnitus at a low level.

Reduce buzzing, ringing, hissing and clicking sounds of the ear using audio therapy. A proven, effective treatment for tinnitus, Tinnitus Alleviator uses customized audio tracks to retrain the brain, decreasing awareness and prominence of ringing or buzzing sounds. Tinnitus relief is one click away- start your free 14 day trial by downloading now. And use it for the entire 14 days – we are certain you will find benefit if you use it for 2 – 4 hours a day for the full 14 days!

Tinnitus Alleviator is brought to you by Neuromonics, Inc., a leading provider of patented and clinically proven medical devices designed for tinnitus relief. A proud member of the American Tinnitus Association, a global leader in the research and development of tinnitus treatments, Neuromonics works closely with physicians and audiologists to effectively address individuals suffering from this condition. We recommend visiting a healthcare provider to further assist you in your tinnitus treatment.

Users of this app listen to spectrally modified music designed to retrain the brain to ignore the ringing sounds and stop reacting negatively to them. Using an in-app hearing test, Tinnitus Alleviator allows you to customize the four sound tracks to best decrease your awareness or prominence of the ringing or buzzing you hear.

Bluetooth Earphones and Hearing Aids/Amplifiers:
Bluetooth earphones and hearing aids have made great improvements in the quality of sound that is being emitted to the user. However the Bluetooth frequency response is slightly downgraded when compared to a wired earphone option which may result in distorted/downgraded music quality. Users that have a Bluetooth enabled device may stream Tinnitus Alleviator through their Bluetooth hearing aids or earphones.

Recommendation for use:
Experience has shown that listening through earphones for 2-4 hours per day - and for several months (6-8 months) - significantly improves the outcomes in managing your tinnitus. Accordingly, we highly recommend that you listen to the app for each day of your free trial period.

Add music feature behaves poorly

After adding newly downloaded music, yes downloaded as per instructions, the song titles do not show up and the app will not recognize them on the list of added music, even though it counts the length of the added music against your 1 hour time limit. The added music without song titles can not be played or edited and removed at this point so you are stuck.

And who’s idea was it to use the melody from The Rolling Stones “You Can’t Always Get What You Want?” as one of the pre-packaged tracks? Seriously, what I want is to relieve my tinnitus and hearing this melody message is psychologically demotivating.

Otherwise I appreciate the app as it does soothe me while listening. I’ve used it for one week now, but it hasn’t made any long term impact yet. 3 stars.

Developer Response

Please download version 2.1. Version 2.0 would allow the music picker to show encrypted music which is not playable by TA. Version 2.1 filters those music files out to avoid confusion. You must have been able to select the Rolling Stones song from your music as that is not one of our prepackaged options.

Bobbie Spencer

I really like this. I have had tinnitus for over 8 yrs. Sad thing is they give u a limited time to use it n then want to charge I think way to much if u want to keep it. If I knew it has helped someone a lot or pretty much in time made it barely noticeable of it I would gladly pay but have paid for so many things that hasn't even began to help it n its terrible people out there taking ur money n giving false hope. Other wise music is really relaxing n does calm me when the tinnitus is really stressing me out! I agree there is to many trying to profit from those of us who suffer with this horrible dreaded noise. If they really want to help why is everything there is to try to help with this is so costly?

Thank you for your feedback and we are happy to hear you like our application and are finding relief from ringing in the ears as well.

Almost There...

love the focus on this horrible condition so thank you so much. I have noticed a few issues that would prohibit me from rating 5 stars:
1. I purchaed the music - i uploaded 3 songs successfully then went to delete those and add others and while i can see the new songs to upload in my library, the TA app will not upload them. I can reload the original songs but not any new. I have tried with several songs to make sure it was not some DRM issue.
2. The music does not auto restart after an interrumption from a phone or app.

Developer Response

It is possible that updating to Version 2.1 will resolve your issue. In Version 2.0 the music picker would allow you to select DRM encrypted music that is not playable by Tinnitus Alleviator. This has been resolved in Version 2.1 to not show those files.
We will look into modifying the behavior you mention in 2.
