Really cute app
We've only had this app a few days, but I see twin toddlers going back to it over and over. It's simple enough for them to do on their own with little prompting from me.
I would have give it 5 stars. But it's a little glitchy. Sometimes you cannot pick up a piece, but the game thinks you have. So it thinks the puzzle is done, but you still have a lone piece sitting on the side. My boys look at me quizzically when this happens, but it does not keep them from their game play for long.
I think this application is nice, it is a bit tough for the kids to get the puzzles, outlines might help. My 2-year old is fine but his younger sister has issues. All in all it's an OK app.
Now, this is criticism, I would love an answer but I'm sure I won't get one. When a child goes to school, to Pre-k, there are certain obstacles that they are supposed to learn, one is the alphabet. Typically the alphabet is based on things the child has an idea of. What happens when a child goes to school and the instructor says, "what is a word that starts with C?" And the kid comes back and says Caucus. What the hell is this? It kills me that all these alphabet programs try to outdo each other? My question is "Why is the hell would you put Caucus and an odd animal INSTEAD OF CAT?
Children need to learn, this is a nice app. It would be a fabulous app if you would lose the goofy stuff. I will probably end up removing it because it is stupid! Some of this crap I haven't heard of and I have a secondary degree. This makes me angry. At least I didn't pay for it. I would if the pay version didn't have the goofball stuff!
My daughter really enjoys this one. The puzzles are so cute and it's nice that she's learning the alphabet as well as the names of the animals. I highly recommend it for your little one.
