What's New in Version 1.3
Clunky interface - & Many Apps Listed are NOT free...
The interface is clunky, plain, boring, not much info. Screen graphics are weird, looks like combo of low rez yet zoomed way in close - and sometimes, even on iPad, the text of one description gets overlayed with another, so you cannot read.
Many apps listed are NOT free, despite the app's name being "Today's Free". If they are going to list both, then at the very least they could have placed all the free ones at the top of the list! But then again, having them there anyway just doesn't reflect the name, which suggests all apps would be free. I haven't even bothered trying to click thru to "buy" anything with this app, but see others commenting that many are not even free when they get to the apps store - that somehow doesn't surprise me.
I'm just not finding this app particularly useful, and plan to delete it now. Instead I much prefer perusing for free stuff with "Apps Gone Free" and "Appsfire Deals".
Not so good.
I have it for my iPod touch, so the space they have for the description is much too small for many of them so it ends up writing over the descriptions for the apps above and below.
There is NO sort feature.
There is no way to tell which are new, or which were from the day before, as I have had it for a little while now (as I do ALL apps before I rate them), and I have found that I have to go through all of them because new and old are mixed together.
I am now getting rid of it, since I have yet to find anything of use to me (which is probably why I haven't ran into the price difference issues other people have put in their ratings).
The apps have the so-called "sale" price and then the ("price it was yesterday") beside the sale price. While it does say in the description free and reduced prices, it's obvious that the app administrator randomly put unrealistic prices one would actually pay for from iTunes apps! Then, they "reduce" the amount to what it normally costs! For example- one app listed was BingWebpages; listed with the original price being $1.99 and then the sale price was $0.00 (Free). That's not true! I have had that app downloaded before and it was free, like it always has been and probably will be! It's such a disappointment this developer plays mind games because It has the potential to become a worthy app to have.
