Research shows that AAC helps get kids talking!  Your child deserves a voice, and deserves to be able to say what he or she wants.  With over 100 spaces for you to add the important words in YOUR family's life, along with 23 of some of the most commonly used words by toddlers already built in, Toddler Talk AAC is designed to give YOU the power to decide what is important.

Words chosen supported by research:
Banajee, M., Dicarlo, C., & Stricklin, S. B. (2003). Core vocabulary determination for toddlers. Augmentative and Alternative Communication, 19, 67-73.

I'm Seth, a Speech-Language Pathologist, and I wrote this app because I want the families I serve to have successful, stress-free communication.  I hope that I can help you do that for your child.

Start with just some of the most commonly used words and then, as your child learns to use the app, add in your own words for things your child loves.  It doesn't matter if I love broccoli (I don't!!), what matters is if your child loves broccoli.  If he does then you just take a picture of broccoli prepared just how your child likes it and record the word you want him to use.

As your child gets more successful with the app, move away from the most common words and make your own boards.  There are 4 boards which you can completely fill with the words and phrases you want.  Have a board for meals, a board for the park, a board for the store, or anything you can imagine!  Toddler Talk AAC was designed from the ground up to put you in control because YOU are the expert on your child and family, not me or any other Early Intervention provider.

No sound.

How does the sound work?

So freeing for kids and families

Being a Speech Pathologist for over 40 years and trying desperately to give kids and family an easy communication system, I can truly appreciate this app! I should also mention that although it's geared for "toddlers" it can certainly be adapted for non-verbal teenagers or even adults immediately following a traumatic head injury,

The simplicity of organization, the ease with personalizing the information, and the ability to change/add/alter pictures all make this a valuable tool for therapists. I would highly recommend it and give it a five star rating (with five stars being the highest rating).

Perfect for toddlers!

Great for toddlers, it never crashes and it's easy to add pictures and record sounds.
