Ratings and Reviews
Okay so I’ve been a fan since the first anime came out back in Fall 2014. That being said, I was excited to find out that there was a gacha game for Tokyo Ghoul and immediately downloaded it when it came out. I’ve played other gacha games so I was used to much of how the game worked.
Much of the gameplay is straightforward and easy to get into and I really do like the animation. However, that’s basically where my praises stop. I hate money hungry companies that put out p2w games like this. First off, there’s a pay wall that you have to pay in order to be able to roll for a chance at many SSRs, I wouldn’t mind that except not spending any money will also bar you from areas in the training grounds and the diamonds one is given for the luxury draws won’t necessarily go towards just gacha summons as it’s required to buy keys if you don’t have enough to open some of the boxes they give you.
Oh I haven’t even started on the gacha system. You don’t even get full units most of the time and only get a piece or two of a puzzle, gather 30 or so depending on the rarity to complete a unit and 300+ more to fully maxed one out. Yeah, just imagine how much money you’re going to spend on this game with mechanics like this.
Now I’m for the most part a F2P so I understand that maybe a whale will still find enjoyment from a game like this but I’d much rather stick to Fate Grand Order as my main gacha game as they know how to balance making money and being F2P friendly.
I love this game but the Noro nerf was sad :(
I was in love with this game, I was free to play at first but I noticed that Noro was really strong and would be a great addition to my team so I spent all the money I had on diamonds to get him and I enjoyed it and thought I made the right decision until I saw that you guys nerfed his third special attack in the next update (200% attack speed now instead of 200% attack damage) I was actually heart broken and it’s all my fault. I shouldn’t have spent money on the game in the first place. I really want the new SSR characters but I’m going to be smart and I’m not taking any more chances spending money on the game. I’m actually so sad and frustrated right now. I still love the game but now that my team will be garbage after the update I think that is when it’s time for me to quit so I don’t get tempted to spend money on characters that could be useless in the future 😩. I mean maybe even lowering his attack percentage to like only 100% would’ve been okay but it is your game and your choice on how you want things to work. This game was so fun for the past couple of months thank you so much GameSamba!!! Even though you nerfed the only character I spent money for I got to admit I still had a bunch of fun playing regardless thanks again.
Are you serious?
I love Tokyo ghoul and have stuck with the series until the end, no matter how much bull the author pulled in the last arc, but I still respect the author for his choices. THIS on the other hand just shows how such a good series is being treated like trash. Half of everything you would get for free in other gacha games is locked behind a paywall. Such as paying to be able to summon on a ssr banner and being able to buy stamina or gold more than once a day. Then the VIP system basically screams “empty your wallet” to anyone who doesn’t want to spend money. It’s disgusting to see any type of compony make a game pay to win. The animations compared to other games, for example Bleach Brave Souls, is so lackluster and boring. The gameplay is extremely hard for new players because of the stupid puzzle piece loot system and doing things like pvp barely reward you enough to matter. Ssrs are near impossible to get without spending money. While yet again comparing this to BBS, which has a ton of its own problems that they actually attempt to fix. I have some really good stuff for being a free to play player on that game. What’s ultimately disappointing is that I was actually exited to finally get an official Tokyo ghoul game, only to be disappointed severely. Here’s to hoping the the console game is good. Yet all I’m left with in dark war is just an “are you serious?” feeling.
