The button was invisible yet still functional in version 1.0.7.
Just a couple observations.
I was using the iPad Retina with 128gb.
I had a small set of Logitech powered speakers.
I adjusted volume from iPad just under the level to cause distortion.
While testing microphones, apparently iPad timed out?
Need to have continuous.
After about 20 minutes, the speakers became highly distorted. I had the volume up but not to distortion level. Don't know if speaker, iPad or app...suspect speakers.
Sweep doesn't. You must manually adjust it up and down. Would prefer to have automatic sweep with user set duration, one way or up and down, and let user set upper and lower limits.
Otherwise, it's a very good, well behaved app, clean and simple. I really would like a true sweep. The other issues were probably unrelated to app.
Good concept, poor implementation
I like the concept but for audio pros, I personally feel that it has some critical shortfalls. The frequency input is very clunky- typing it in would be so much easier than flipping slot-machine-like tumbler. Additionally, The pink noise sounds distorted even played at a low level (when even the white noise sounded clean). And finally, I see no reason to break the tone sweeps into multiple groupings of frequency ranges. It's clunky and lowers the product quality, forcing more button clicking and wasted time. The sweep in my opinion should offer 20-20k and thats it. Again, a nice idea, but I don't feel that its implemented correctly. One of the few cases where I actually wish I didn't spend the $0.99 to buy it.
Nice app. Tested the frequency response on an RMS volt meter and was pleased to see that the response was flat 20 Hz to 20 kHz on two different iPhones. It would be nice to be able to set the output directly so that you could set a reference level then drop it by a specific number of dB. Still really cool and useful. Well done!
