I think the app has great potential and the first (and only) time it calculated my total to within a dollar of what it really was (we have two tax rates for different types of items and I haven't figured out which rate goes with which item yet so I used the recommended tax rate for my state).
BUT I'm not able to save individual items with their prices. The reusable items list doesn't give me a place to manually add and save a price. when I add an item to my cart from the list, I have to take an extra step and update the price, and it still doesn't show in the total price. So does that mean I'll have to type in an add each item and price every time I get groceries?
The saved list tab works, but I don't buy exactly the same items every week. It'd be nice to be able to build a database of all the items I've bought with their prices and then click-to-add them to my cart. Otherwise the app is too tedious to use and I won't be buying the upgraded version.

Hi, thank you for your comments. I understand you would like to be able to save individual items with their prices but the idea is that an item can be reused within stores where the price may vary, in fact, price changes all the time even if you shop only in one store. But it's not a bad idea, maybe I will add an optional field for price. Now, as far as the cost of an item not showing the total price, please make sure you are entering the price and quantity otherwise it will not be calculated, again the idea here is that people may buy different quantities of certain items. I apologize if the app doesn't do exactly what you were expecting. Thanks. EDIT 12/18/2017: The ability to reuse price and quantities have been added in Version 5.0.6.
I would have given 5 stars except...
I just bought this app today and already I like it a lot. It’s simple and user friendly while at the same time does everything I need it to. Adding Items to a list is quick and painless. I also like that you can save a list and reload it at a later date. My one big objection is that I cannot enter a custom default tax rate due to a bug where the keyboard covers up the text fields I am trying to edit and prevents me from submitting my entries. As a result, I am forced to reopen every list entry I create and change the tax rate on each one. This is annoying enough to merit a two-star reduction! However if this is fixed I will gladly give it 5 stars. I am using an iPhone 7 running iOS 11.

First of all, thank you for your feedback, I appreciate it. Sorry for the inconvenience, that shouldn't be happening. I will look into it immediately and keep you posted. Thanks! - UPDATE: 09/29/2017, I looked into the issue and there seem to be a bug in iOS11, I worked around the bug and fixed it and released version 5.0.1, this update should be out in a few days, it is currently in Apple's approval process. A quick workaround will be to quit the app, then go and enter the new tax rate, for some reason it works after quitting the app but it only let's add one so if you need to enter multiple rates just keep quitting the app and entering one at a time. Again this is just a quick workaround, the fix will come in the next release, version 5.0.1. Here is a quick tutorial on how to quit apps. http://osxdaily.com/2015/11/11/how-to-quit-apps-in-ios-9/ - Here is my email if you want to contact me directly. firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanks a lot for your patience. UPDATE: 10/02/17 - Just to let you know that version 5.0.1 is out and should fix the issue you were experiencing. Please let me know if you have any other questions. Thanks.
This is the app I have been looking for to help me to stay on budget at the grocery store. The huge thing it is lacking is the ability to enter a coupon and have it deduct automatically from the total price. It is frustrating to have to pull out a separate calculator to deduct my coupons, and if I try to just take it off the price of the item when putting it in my cart, it will make the taxes inaccurate (taxes are paid on price before coupons). I would imagine that a lot of people that use this app coupon as well, so this feature is really important. Please add it or inform me how I can do this if I’m overlooking it. Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your comments, I really appreciate it. If I'm understanding you correctly, what you want is to add a coupon and apply it to the whole list, unfortunately, this feature is not currently available but it's something that will be added in the next release. I apologize for the inconvenience.
