Fun boxing game!
As I read the comments I have to agree with everyone about the body shots. Boxing isn't just headshots. "Go for the ribs!". The three kids of hits are jabs, hooks, and uppercuts. Thankfully they have atleast the three or it would be a little boring. I have had the game for a several hours and so far it has been a great game. I like how you can create boxers to have different tones of skin color. You can change the gloves, trunks, and boots. I used the "thrilla" toned person, with basic maroon gloves, basic azure trunks, and basic white shoes and I named him "Muhammad Ali". In my eyes, this is te greatest of the realistic-style boxing games. It's the next best thing to EA's Fight Nights. Too bad they don't have FN on iTunes. :( But all in all, the game is fun, except for one problem:training. You select what kid of training you want to do for your boxer to up his stats and once you select it the specific stats go up 5 points. Training is a must. The game is great overall. I have fun playing it in my free time.
Get ready to rumble!
This is a nice introduction to making an iPhone into a console. The graphics and music are very good. Control is intuitive, despite the fact that there are no body punches. No difficulty levels are set. Opponents get progressively harder but this is not too challenging once you figure out how to win. This needs online fighting and head to head combat.
You have the choice of listening to the native song or choosing songs from your iTunes library. You choose which boxer you want. There are a present number of boxers and tattoos to choose from. As you win, you can upgrade your equipment (gloves, shoes and trunks). I have only been able to upgrade to 105% on all attributes and 100% popularity, versus the opponents who can have 150% attributes.
The game allows a quick fight or Career Mode. You start out as an amateur and then progress to a professional. Overall, this is a very good game.
It needs to include body shots. How can someone just do head shots?!!!
Has potential, but needs work
Needs more punches and defensive manuevers. With the future updates, after all the bugs are fixed, please focus more on the boxing aspect. Right now it's pretty shallow. Body shots would be my #1 most wanted features, because then you guys could add lower and upper gaurds, making the game more challenging and fun.
Also consider online wifi, that would add a lot of replayability that this game lacks as of this moment. That would be my #2 most wanted feature.
$3 is a good value, but I beat the game in a couple hours with no problems (every single fight I won by KO) and now there isn't much to do except buy everything from the store, rise up the leaderboard, and complete all the achievements.
Great graphics btw, I just hope you guys add more content to the game. It feels like you guys focused more on graphics and then rushed on the gameplay, so hopefully more will come.
