Touch Bar functionality is only available on the new MacBook Pro with Touch Bar.

Touch Launcher allows you to instantly launch any application, folder, document, or file on your mac by simply pressing its icon on the Touch Bar or menu bar.

How to use:
Press the icon in the dock, in the menu bar, or the shortcut key (default is: command + shift + A) to activate Touch Launcher, then you will see all the applications, folders, documents, and files on the Touch Bar.

Touch Launcher's settings are found by pressing the Menu Bar icon at the top of the screen. Some of the settings include:
- Select any file to be on the Touch Bar
- Only display running applications
- Sort alphabetically
- Rearrange applications
- Select custom shortcut key (default is: command + shift + A)

maybe im missing something

I don’t know if im doing something wrong. Other apps stay on the screen and dont have to continue to open it. My rating is based from my experience, others may have a better experience.

Good, little buggy & needs customization options. I would buy anyway.

Good job to get something for the touch bar in the AppStore quickly. I suggest the option to re-arrange the apps to user-chosen favorite apps at the beginning of tbhe list. Also would like the option for most used apps as a list. maybe multiple app lists for different usage cases. THANK YOU for dev’ing for the touch bar. I am hoping to see others jump in and start using this input method.

Developer Response

Thanks for the great review and for using Touch Launcher!

Major interface oversight

The developer appears to have tried to address my concern (see below), but the app still grabs the — cmd-shift-A — even when the the option to turn it off is selected. Please keep trying. Thanks

I think this App has potential, but one thing that makes it a no-go for me is that when you set a custom shortcut key the default shortcut — cmd-shift-A — iis not released. This interferes with my workflow as I use that shortcut to open the Applications folder in the finder. When the developer resolves this issue I will resume using the App.

Developer Response

I have released a new update that fixes the issue you are encountering. Please email me at if you encounter any more issues.
