TouchTunes allows you to control the music in over 60,000 bars and restaurants in the US and Canada. The app acts as a remote jukebox allowing you to search songs and play the music in the bar from your mobile phone – wherever you are: on a bar stool, waiting in line or queuing your theme song from the parking lot!
·      Find locations with TouchTunes near you
·      See what’s playing in the bar and what’s up next
·      See who else is checked in and what they’re playing
· Get rewards and bonus credits the more you play
·      Become the House DJ
·      Buy and earn jukebox credits
·      Create playlists or sync your iPhone’s music collection to make it easier to find your favorite tracks
·      See your play history, most played and personal recommendations
·      Share where you are and what songs you're playing on Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare

Please note: TouchTunes periodically checks the GPS location of your device to provide information about nearby jukeboxes. While running GPS in the background too frequently can decrease battery life, the TouchTunes app has been built to minimize the impact on battery life.

Customer Reviews

Best for Frequent Fliers

If you are somewhat regular at a select few locales, using the TouchTunes app is the cheapest and slickest way to play music.
But if you only want to play a couple songs now and then, and not sure where, best stick to cash. Credits purchased thru the app do NOT follow the user - they reside with the bar you select. So the negative reviews that mention this are correct.
The app rewards you for higher volumes of purchases (up to $20) and also for more plays. For example, if you play a lot, the app rewards you by showing songs further ahead of what's playing now (up to 6 songs) so you can decide if you want to spend credits or not. It would be extra cool to be able to see the raw number of plays ahead of you - no matter how frequent you are - so you needn't gamble whether there's 2 or 20. That seems like an unfair bet when you're dropping up to a buck a song.
The app itself is fairly clean and usable. It's wonderful to be able to see my play history as well as my most common plays. Makes picking something out a cinch if you don't have something in mind. Any app can be improved, but this one is fairly mature and usually behaves as it should - but just know it is best suited for keeping a ready stock of play credits at your favorite few watering holes.

This app makes a night at the pub even better!

I have to say, as a blind person, this app has greatly improved my nights out… It has allowed me freedom I have never had before. That may sound strange, but picture this… You are in a bar or restaurant, there is music playing from the jukebox… You want to be able to pick some music yourself, but aren't sure what all is available. Instead of having to ask someone to go to the jukebox with me, help me search for things, and all of that, I can now do it all from my chair, with a cold beer in front of me, from my phone. Also, no more needing to carry cash for the jukebox. I just load credits when I arrive at my destination, sit down, and usually, by the time my first drink is brought, I have a bunch of songs queued up.

The only reason I could not give the app five stars is because, with the screen reading software on the iPhone, voiceover, I have noticed there are a few buttons that are not properly labeled… yes, in my case, I have been able to figure out what they are either by trying them out or asking someone to look at my phone… But it would be nice if all buttons had proper, accessible labels on them. Otherwise, this app is amazing.

It doesn't always play your songs and customer service is awful

So I was at the bar Saturday night with some friends and decided to play some tunes. I played 10 songs and after the first 6 played the jukebox started playing random songs so I looked in the app to see if another patron requested some songs as well and the last 4 songs I requested that DID NOT PLAY were listed as "played". I contacted customer service and they said "well since it says they played, they must have so no refund". I tried to explain and they just kept saying "no refund". I asked them to check the jukebox playlist and see that my songs did not play. They still swear since my personal profile says they played them they must've. No customer service!! Faulty item!
