Ratings and Reviews
I don’t understand the reviews being left here. People are acting like this game is their entire lives. I’ve been playing for years, and while there have been some changes good and bad, it’s really not worth the stress one reviewer said they experienced. It’s a game. Every single level is passable, some just take longer than others. I hate that there aren’t unlimited lives anymore, but I love that there are more ways to earn coins. You win some, you lose some. Again, not a big deal. I love the legends arena because I have something to do while I’m waiting the two weeks for an update with new levels. I have no idea why anyone would complain about this feature. It’s better than not being able to play at all for days at a time.
I agree that there has definitely been a major money grab lately with some levels being very difficult to finish without spending money, but it is possible to do it. You may have to spend a few days in one level but for me that’s fine. It’s certainly no reason to get stressed out.
This is the only game I play. I’m not a game person at all. But like I said, it’s been years that I’ve been playing this and I love it.
I would give it a zero rating if I could
I am getting tired of games that have in game purchases for limited use items, then adjust the “randomness” to minimize useful moves as players progress through the game. This game represents a trend that only allows reasonable progress by purchasing “useful” aids to complete a level.
I have surveyed several pay as you play games and find that, in general, the MO of these games is consistent, start simple and make winning higher levels nearly impossible without purchasing additional aids. It’s time for consumers to boycott games that rely on this mechanism to generate income, as it leads to a no-win situation. I would rather pay for a well crafted game that allows the player to use their skill rather than download a “free” game that stacks the odds against the player as a means of generating income. Really, it’s time to send a message to the vendors of these type of income generating games by boycotting their products.
Finally, I resent the use of advertising that misrepresents the nature of a game by showing levels that do not exist in their downloaded app. In my mind that is a type of bait and switch that has been declared illegal for other consumer goods. I do believe that it is time for the bait and switch laws to be applied to software just as it is for other consumer products.
I play this game frequently and have found that since putting in the directional arrows that go in a random direction, it is impossible to win a level without buying more lives. This is a cheap and unacceptable way to squeeze money out of the players. Some of the games are set up in such a way that it is impossible to pass that level without investing more money into the game. This makes the game boring after losing consistently without buying more lives. It is nothing more than an exploitation of the players.
The arrows have not changed, which leans more toward extortion to the player. Pay to win. I thoroughly enjoyed winning until I won enough to get 2 hours and up to 24 hrs of free lives. This made the game so much more enjoyable and challenging. I would sit up all night sometimes to see many levels I could pass before the time allotted time was over. I miss that challenge. Please bring it back.
Need to return unlimited lives, or I will need to stop playing, as well as several of my friends.
