What's New in Version 1.0.6
Enabled sandboxing for application
I have a small animation and video editing business and use TransferBigFiles on a regular basis to send videos and graphics to clients. I have the Pro subscription which costs about $100 a year and it has been very useful. I also build websites and personally have no problem using FTP to transfer files but TransferBigFiles is better for sending files to clients that are not familiar with FTP. It's a simple link in their email vs having to walk them through the FTP process which may or may not work in their browser. The TransferBigFiles server is also a lot faster than my FTP site, if I need to get a large file to someone fast this is the best option. In addition, with the pro plan you get 2 upload widgets which you can put on your website. I use this a simple way for clients to send me larger files.
TransferBigFiles works great for me
I’ve been using the TransferBigFiles service for going on 2 years. I have the Mac app on 4 Macs, including the new MacBook Pro I just installed it on. The app has performed flawlessly. Same for the website. No one has ever called or written me to ask, “How do I use this email I got from you?” The download notifications add welcomed efficiency and transparency to my deliverables and work flows. Well worth the $5/month I pay.
Not bad, but not good...
It's a quick way to send some hudge files that are stored on your MAC to someone, but there is no preview when you are looking at the files that you are sending. You can double click on the download file, and it will send you to your TBF on the website. Thi sreally defest the purpose of having a App for this wonderful transfer multimedia source on your MAC, but that's just how I see it.
