Looking for a Lightroom/Aperture replacement on your iPhone? Truefilm is the perfect candidate, but it is more than that. Truefilm gives you most of the controls of Lightroom + beautiful filters + Artificial Intelligence.
There have not been a lot of innovations in the photo editor arena. Everyone else is trying to do the same thing over and over again. We set out to create the best photo editor out there. On top of that, we added Artificial Intelligence to really push the technology forward.
The Autoedit feature in Truefilm automatically edits your photo and picks a filter for you. Not only that, it will learn your preferences when you are done editing. Therefore the more pictures you edit, the better it gets. We took the same technology and put it in the filter tab. Truefilm will give you filter suggestions based on your style so you don’t have to stress about which filter to choose. It is important to emphasize that we are not trying to replace the editing process, but to make it simpler.
What you will find in Truefilm is the best set of adjustments in the field, controls that you simply wouldn’t find in any other apps. We also want to leapfrog other photo editors by giving you fine-grained control over your photos. So we included tools like brush and graduated filter for minute adjustments.
No matter how hard you look, one thing you will not find in Truefilm is slider. Almost all the other photo editors out there have been slider-based. They are imprecise! We have created a new way to edit called “Precision Control.” As the name suggests, it allows really precise adjustment. It gives you the ability to fine-tune your edit to absolute perfection.
Truefilm had also pioneered an incredible way of looking at the entire history of your edits, called the History View. What it allows you to do is fly through every step that you have taken to edit an image. It is really cool.

What's New in Version 3.1.1
- Crashes fixed for devices running iOS 8.3
Truefilm was great and had a ton of potential. Some nice features not found elsewhere like the gradient effect tool (that just needed some fine tuning and would have been really powerful)... But now, the app is pretty much crap to me and I never use it anymore. The UI and removal of a few features just completely killed it for me. Totally backwards approach to editing from what previously seemed like a promising direction.
*Deleting for now until the UI gets remedied. If nothing changes then c'est la vie to Truefilm.
