The Trunity Mobile app enables students and instructors to access their books and courses that are hosted on the Trunity platform. This easy-to-use app allows users to quickly navigate to any chapter or page through the interactive Table of Contents and the slider at the bottom of each page. Page-to-page navigation is accomplished by a familiar swipe to the left or right. Tapping on a Glossary term displays its definition in a pop-up, enabling the reader to remain within the page’s context. The My Library page displays all the content available to users.
The Trunity Mobile app works in both online and offline modes. When online, the app streams page content from the cloud. For offline use, content - including interactive material, documents, audio and video files - may be downloaded and stored on the device by the user.
Students and teachers can download only the chapters and pages they need, an important feature to aid users that may not have high-speed Internet access. Users can store just the content they need when they are connected, and save time by not needing to download the entire book.

This app makes my life better
It’s the only online textbook where I can take everything offline even the videos! I find this app to be super intuitive and love the slide-out table of contents. The clickable glossary terms are great for testing myself and my notes and bookmarks make nice lists that are easy to study from. Really love that everything I need for my course is all right there inside the textbook. Really beats having to go to my professor’s website to get lab assignments and download things. I wish we used this in my other classes!
This app looks like someone did just enough to be able to say they have an app, but gave no additional thought about what it might be Iike to actually try to read a book in it. On an iPad, which has it's own security, not everyone wants to password protect their individual apps. Instead of allowing the user an option to remember the username and password, it requires you to type them in every time you use the book. A 'stay logged in' option would be appreciated. Then, actually try to read the book... The contents sits over on the left with insufficient room in the right pane to see an entire page at once. With trial and error, you eventually find the icon to make it full page, but a quick intro overlay, like so many apps do would have been nice. Did I mention that there is no portrait orientation, even though reading book pages is probably the single most useful reason to hold you iPad in portrait? It works, but it's just very basic... like an early attempt. I have no choice about using the book, but I will probably just use the web browser instead of this. I gave it an extra star because at least you can download the book. I guess that's something, but it still makes you login to see it, so what's the point? Overall, it's a disappointment.
