Ratings and Reviews
It is very difficult to say more than that Tubi tv is superb. With Tubi tv no one needs to pay for another movie streaming service. Often it is much better than all of the other streaming service providers combined. Its movie content is so superior that it leaves me in awe, including foreign language contents. I was a subscriber to all of the other premium on-demand movie streaming service providers at the same time which can be pretty costly on a monthly basis. Then I would navigate from one service provider to another in order to receive the movie that I wanted to see for that day, because they all had different shortcomings, And now Tubi tv makes up for those shortcomings, and it is richer in quality movie content than them all. You ask yourself “how can I receive more movies, and better movie content on the free streaming service than the paid premium channels?” Yet it is shockingly true. I am on the Tubi tv channel all the time with great satisfaction; I wish that it was Tubi tv that was receiving the large monthly fees that I was recently paying the other premium channels for on demand movie streaming service. My only hope and prayer is that it would continue to remain this way.
I was surprised how good this app is. I see others complained about the number of ads they saw while watching, but the one I watched didn't't have too many. Not only that, the only ads I saw were for movies available on the app. Most free app ads are annoying and repeat multiple times, but these actually help you choose what to watch next. Maybe I'll find movies with too many ads, but so far this looks great. On top of that, they have more movie categories and interesting ones, like Grindhouse and foreign films I haven't seen on other apps. You can even turn subtitles on and off, which I haven't seen in other apps.
Update: I've been using Tubi for a few years now. No complaints, except occasionally movies don't work properly or play through. But it's free, so that's the way it goes. Advertisements are still minimal. I was sick for a while and found the Aussie show McLeod's Daughters. I binged a bunch of seasons. It was quite good and I never would have found it elsewhere. I usually watch horror movies on here though. There are always lots to choose from and a lot of them are good. This is THE free movie app you want.
Caranddriver Tubi TV App review
I always say ‘gimme 5’ before breaks and then get 5 commercials and press the mute button. The quality of this channel is much improved from when I first used it after getting my Roku 2 box years ago. As others have mentioned, I’ve had one title not play (Romper Stomper) and occasionally the signal will get wonky or the commercial will get ‘stuck’, but 95% of the rest of the time or better, I have no problems. Not much of a tv episode person, but I enjoy watching documentaries and sci-fi mostly although Beowulf was a very impressive film I’d never seen before that prompted for this app review at the end of it. With the variety of film and tv on this channel I’d say it’s better than Crackle, which I used to watch quite often in the past. There are some shows I miss from Netflix, but not as much as I don’t miss the price increases. The one thing I would change: I would remove the default to subtitles when watching movies on my iPhone. After commercials breaks, I always have to turn them off again. If there’s a fix in settings, I haven’t found it. A minor irritation. A really great movie app.
