A: It’s a way to take the stuff you find on Tumblr and make it your own. You can repost other people’s posts to your own blog. You can add commentary if you like. Other people can do the same with your posts. That’s how ideas spread on Tumblr, and it’s how communities form around them.

UPDATE NO. 1
If you block any Tumblrs, now you can see a list of the Tumblrs you’re blocking. It’s in your settings, under “Blocked Tumblrs.” A triumph of clarity, that label.
UPDATE NO. 2
Bugs removed, tweaks inserted, curses lifted, bones healed.

Pathetic
The app crashes regularly. Things don't work as they should even when it doesn't crash. The staff refuse to listen to their user base and ignore suggestions and requests. The staff don't enforce the terms of agreement. Awful people use the site to be awful. The staff do not bother to do anything about it. The only way to make it all work is with an independent extension by an independent individual or team that, in addition to fixing everything for free, was then driven off the site by a bunch of hate-mongers. Staff did nothing. This is potentially one of the worse sites on the internet, 4chan included, and the app just affirms how bad it is by not even having the decency to present its general content and crashing 7 times out of 10. There should be a score below stars because this app isn't worth anything but an example of what NOT to do. Way to go Tumblr. Write a cutesy little update for that.
Hot Garbage
What can I say? This app is absolute trash.
I don't foresee that changing anytime soon, and you'll probably install it anyway because the site itself is a better platform than most things currently available, but yeah. It's almost like tumblr knows people are going to keep using the site and the app regardless of whether they hire any actual competent programmers, so they just let it crash, freeze, glitch, and never load all day long. (And then "updates" are just changes in design to distract you from the hot trash pile in the corner. Like a sad, unsuccessful magic trick)
Anyway I'm just trying to lower the rating so tumblr will address any one of the 6 million valid complaints of its users :))
Almost perfect
This app has everything you need except one glaring function that makes it impossible for me to use. It has no password protection. Kids use our phones and tumblr has quite a bit of pics I'd prefer they not stumble across. PLEASE GIVE US PASSWORD PROTECTION. Until then, it's shuffled off to my unused app section.

2nd update. Yay password protection
3rd update. Now they took away password protection!!
