2014 Official Webbie Honoree – Music Apps
“I sometimes review fancy wireless speakers that cost a load of cash, have slick AirPlay capabilities, as well as multi-speaker/room playback. I never dreamed that my iPod and iPhone coupled with some old 30-pin speaker docks could create an immersive music experience,” Nate Adcock said in iPhone and iPad Life Magazine.
George Tinari wrote in The Unofficial Apple Weblog (TUAW) "Overall, the app does exactly what it advertises and does it well... TuneMob a great tool for catering to the music needs of a group of people without spending extra cash on an external speaker."
No need for network setup. TuneMob works automagically as long as everyones’ Bluetooth is turned on.
TuneMob is compatible and has been tested with iOS6 through iOS8 and has been verified to work on the following devices:
-iPhone 4s, 5, 5c, 5s, 6, 6+
-iPad 4, iPad mini, iPad Air
-iPod 5th generation
** NOT STABLE ON OLDER DEVICES **
What's New in Version 1.5.1
iOS8 compatibility, bug fixes
Good but could be better
Works just as advertised great for working with friends and one phone is not loud enough but wifi is needed if they made it work off of Bluetooth than it would be perfect but because of that it gets 4 stars instead of 5
Ok but could be better
Used this app to play music for a party on 3 IPhones/IPads.
- Put all devices in private mode / turn off notifications. An incoming call on any of the slave devices takes the whole system down.
-Please please please add the ability to add a whole iTunes playlists at once. You have to add all songs back individually which is a real pain when the system crashes from the issue above
- I had one issue with an iPad mini loosing sync and going to sleep. It's a device I use with work email and I think the extra security they have added are creating the issue
Works just as it should and just what I was looking for. However, I agree with others that I wish there were a way to add an entire iTunes playlist to the TuneMob playlist.
