Description
TwistedWave is a very fast and easy to use audio editor and recorder.
Even when working with huge files, it will remain very fast and fluid, and will never run out of memory.
TwistedWave Recorder is the free version of TwistedWave Audio Editor. You can use it to record and send audio by email. Once the full editing functionality and the extra export options have been purchased, "TwistedWave Recorder" and "TwistedWave Audio Editor" offer the same feature set.

Double Dipping Fees
I purchased this app just about a year ago because of the tools within the app. All of a sudden, I open the app and everything is locked up again as if I didn’t buy it. So, to verify again, I open all my purchased apps and yes, Oct 2018. The original purchase write up didn’t say it was only for a year and if that’s the case, I’m still owed. I’m not sure if they will reply because of the other reviews are still negative “missing” answers from the CREATORS of the app. I guess I have to take my business to a customer service pride company who provides the same services. So Sad!
Reliable field recorder
I use this app to record band practices and song ideas. It doesn’t have the best user interface, but once you’re used to it, it works. And works great. The post processing options are as good as any you’d expect to use on a smart phone.
I’ve been using this app for over four years and haven’t found a compelling reason to use anything else. It does what I need it to do between playing back ideas and sharing audio files.
Affordable and functional!
Excellent if you understand what it does and how it works
Instant loading makes it my favorite audio app for iOS. It’s the only one I trust for live performance.
I’m referring to the Audio Editor version. This includes all of the functionality of the free (but limited) Recorder.
I do not recommend this app for recording with iOS microphones such as the Zoom iQ or the Shure MV88. The mics’ proprietary apps allow direct control of many of the microphones’ features from the software. Understandably, TwistedWave cannot do this—no matter, this is the app you use to edit those files in iOS.
Moving files among my Mac, iPads and iPhone is very easy via iTunes and email. ICloud support would be nice but not necessary. I’ve not tried Dropbox with TwistedWave.
I wish that I could lock a file to prevent accidental editing—that would be a most welcome feature.
