◆ What is TWiT.tv? ◆
The TWiT.tv Netcast Network with Leo Laporte features the #1 ranked technology podcast This Week in Tech, along with over 20 other top-ranked online shows.
Since 2005, our shows have provided news, commentary, help, how-to and perspective on the latest trends in digital tech from seasoned experts and journalists.
Leo hosts and produces many of the shows, but as the network expands new hosts and participants are added. You can learn more about our shows here.
All of our shows are free. TWiT is supported by advertising and listener donations. We limit the number of ads on each show, and we only accept advertising from companies whose products or services benefit our audience.
As we've grown, our facilities have expanded into a multimillion dollar studio and a full staff to produce over 30 hours of content a week. Our live stream lets you watch and listen to our shows being produced, along with other incidental coverage of tech issues, breaking news, and Leo's personal life. You can watch live every day of the week (and re-runs when we're not live) at http://live.twit.tv/.
Thanks for visiting TWiT! We hope you enjoy the shows, and if you do, you'll share them with others.

What's New in Version 11.700
Fix for iOS 9
Offline viewing needs work
TWiT is a great podcast network. This twit app is good, but does have some annoying bugs. BOTTOM LINE: If using on iPhone for offline viewing, look elsewhere. If always streaming and want the chatroom extras, this would be good. TL;DR I’ve switched from the default apple podcast app to this one. The apple one worked well on my iPad (minus no full screen), but not on my iPhone. My use case for this app is for offline viewing. Its not too great at that. When I download a video episode at night, it will sometimes (20% of time) download the episode partially like 300 MBs vs 1500 MBs for the long episodes (TWiT/TWiG/MBW/SN). It will even say “Downloaded” when it’s really not. I will then have to purge all downloads in order to re download. Next, sometimes it will randomly delete downloaded episodes without me telling it to. Finally, when I have a weak cell phone signal, the app will try to get the list of recent episodes and never time out (even if I turn on airplane mode). There should be a dedicated “Downloaded” section, which it has, but it should *only* show content downloaded on the actual device. 3 out of 5 stars. Their Roku app is great though. I’m moving to elsewhere now.
Love TWiT Netcasts!
While I love the content of Leo Laporte's net casts and podcasts, and having this app on my iPhone 5S makes it easier to access them then using a browser, there are some annoyances in the UI that I don't expect to find, considering the source. The app does not remember which type of night cast/podcast I looked at last (TWiT only, not any of the other shows). Similarly, it forgets the last show I was watching/listening to. This should be a durable State, so our user does not have to scroll through and select twitch from the list of shows, and then recently watched, and then tap the show I was in the middle of. Then, if I decided I wanted to start watching another TWiT show, that I had downloaded, it would be only one step to back out of the last show I was watching, to peruse my list of downloaded shows.
I love it! A few annoyances but still my favorite for the iPhone
Right now it can't remember where I was in an archive show. Since I can only listen for 15 minutes at a time sometimes, this is very annoying. I am gong to download the shows instead of streaming to see if that helps.
I love the twit network. I like to stream the video for hours. The preshows and postshows are fun and often more educational than the podcast show.
This is the best way to listen or watch the twit shows. I like how I can put it in the background and it will turn video to audio.
