Description

Twitter is now available for Apple Watch.

Tweet, Retweet, reply and favorite in a flash. Quickly see recent Tweets and top trends. Share your location, a song, or your thoughts with a flick on the wrist. It's Twitter, but littler.
_

Twitter is a free app that lets you connect with people, express yourself, and discover more about all the things you love.

See what your favorite celebs and athletes are chatting about. Be the first to hear breaking news. Catch a glimpse behind the scenes at concerts, sporting events, and more.

Then join the conversation: Tweet your own text, photos, and video to your followers — and maybe make a few fans along the way.

Get inspired. Be social. Even send private messages to friends. All in real time, as big (and little) things happen, from anywhere you happen to be.

What's New in Version 6.26.1

Includes a new, richer Trends experience with descriptions, accessible via the search button. This release swaps out the Discover and Activity screens in favor of Trends.

We've also made it easier to add your own comments to other people's Tweets.

Includes Twitter for Apple Watch.

Worst Updates Recently

I have been on twitter since 2010 and been through all kinds of updates. I usually dont say anything and get used to them but now I have to say something. 1- The whole purpose of a quote tweet is to be able to put quotes around the tweet and add something after. Now it is just letting you tweet something and adding the link to the tweet you want to quote after. I could have done that before simply by copying the link to a tweet, no need to change one of my favorite features for it. 2- Group dms. I see no purpose for the group dms unless everyone follows each other. Why would someone want to have their dms filled up with people they chose not to follow when that is basically their mentions. Please remove group dms or change them so that it is only allowed for people who follow each other. 3- TIMES. I dont see the reason why you had to take away the times. I must have used that feature at least once an hour. To see when I went to bed, to see what time something great happened for me, to see if my 11:11 tweets were sent on time, to see what time other peoples tweets were sent. That had to be one of my most used features on here and the fact that it is gone makes no sense to me and turns me off the whole app. Please change my three things because I guarantee you will get a lot of positive feedback for that.

Every Update Gets Worse

WHY DOES THIS APP ALWAYS HAVE STUPID UPDATES? Why would you dispose of tools that people use? The replacement of quoting tweets with the ability to share a link to them is a very distasteful decision. Everyone liked quoting tweets so why change something people liked? I understand that it is an easier way to share a tweet without going over 140 characters but it could have easily just been added as a THIRD option rather than replacing the ability to quote. I'm not going into deep detail about the disappearance of the discover tab because there are plenty of users that already have. All I'm going to say is that it was a POINTLESS change. I will never understand why app developers continue to send out "updates" that ruin perfectly good applications. You are supposed to be advancing your application, not taking away from it. The decision to extract useful elements from an application will ALWAYS beckon negative feedback. This is a great app, but so was Facebook before it continuously sent out idiotic updates that chased users off. ✌🏼

Twitter, if you read this...

This is a very frustrating update for me. First problem is when you are scrolling and looking through someone's media, you cannot see any captions, so it's basically random photos and you don't know what's the purpose of them. It's so annoying. Secondly, the quote retweets in the boxes are very confusing and I'd rather have them back to the original way. Lastly, to search people is extremely hard now. When you hit the Trends tab, it doesn't automatically take you to the search bar, so you must click on it before you start to type which is hard to get used to. When searching names, it doesn't search your followers first, it searches the whole Twitter database. So to find a friend that you follow and want to visit their page, you have to type out their complete name before finding them. It's so frustrating and I hope these problems are fixed soon!
