Pay to Win
Updated again: So I got past 490 by some miracle, but am now stuck at 492. The magnet levels are brutal and no matter how many power-ups I use I cannot win. The game is definitely rigged against the player so that we will spend money on additional moves. So not fair. Please rebalance the levels and make it so we are not blocked from getting the good power-ups.
Updated review: The levels have gotten so frustrating at 489 and 490. It's virtually impossible to finish the level. I am constantly short by 3 magnets, no matter what power ups I use. I paid $1 to get extra 5 moves to get through level 489, but am stuck again. I must have played level 490 at least a hundred times, I kid you not. I have purchased several power ups in the past, but I am unwilling to keep giving away all my dollars. I like supporting the developers, but I don't think the magnet levels are fair. Is there any way you can re-balance them? Please! And thank you.
Original review: My friends and I are obsessed with this game. We get quite competitive and replay for gold. I love the graphics and the relaxing music too. The only thing that's mildly annoying is that the special 7 level mini games come out at noon, so my friends on the east coast start playing before I do on the west coast (I'm still at work). That's ok though, I usually catch up. My favorite game! Thank you!
Catchy music, tricky game play
There was a nice feature that was removed from the game last update: instead of buying power ups, players could watch unobtrusive ads to get them. This was good for the game, since they get funding from advertisers, good for advertisers, and good for players who want the game supported but don't want to shell out $600 on a freemium game in order to complete the levels. The levels used to be mentally challenging; with the new updates it becomes more a battle against the random dot distribution, requiring players to waste turns waiting for the objective dots to appear. But, thanks to the freemium model, you can pay to get the turns you wasted back at the end.
Original review: It seems simple, but you're given a limited number of turns to complete your objectives, thus the challenge! I actually like the feature which recharges your lives after certain time, because it forces you to put down the game and do something else. You will find yourself humming the theme throughout the day.
Probably my fave
Yeah, the game has really hard levels that make you regret ever downloading it or wish that you had a million dollars to spare to buy power ups. I have quit this game so many times because I've been stuck on levels for days, but they're all do-able. The game gives out tons of free boxes and spare lives all you have to do is watch a video. I've had this game for a couple years now and I play it once a day until I'm out of lives then play the next day. It's easily one of the most addicting and fun (and frustrating) app I've ever played. The only thing I really don't like is the doors, there is no way that 100% of the time you don't get the jackpot on the first go, it's a 1/3 chance. That's not that hard, it's clearly rigged so that you hardly get it. But otherwise this game is totally worth it.
