What do children learn?
Computer Programming is an important 21st century skill that children can start learning at any age. While solving puzzles, children are applying reasoning and critical thinking skills such as pattern recognition, problem solving, debugging, sequencing, spatial visualization, and algorithmic thinking. The Tynker visual language makes it easy for them to learn and apply concepts like conditional logic, repetition, variables and functions--the same programming concepts in any mainstream programming language.
What is Tynker?
Tynker inspires kids to create and collaborate through programming in an intuitive, imaginative way. More than 40,000 schools and 28 million kids have started coding with Tynker.
Tynker is inspired by visual programming languages like Scratch from MIT, Alice from CMU, and other programming languages like Logo, SmallTalk, and Squeak.

Great coding app!
I love how this is educational, but seems fun! I think it would influence a lot of kids out there to study coding in college and have that be their career. Cheers to Tynker!
Its really fun and it helps you learn while playing
cons and pros
This app is cool. I couldn't program at Scratch because portable Apple devices doesn't support Flash. Even though Scratch is a little bit better than this, I still love programming here. I can express my creativity visually and interactively. I joined a few months ago, and recently I counted how many featured projects I had on my account. I had exactly 5. Now back on the road. I love programming. I love it so much I actullay learned text based coding ok I think I'm done
Some differences of Tynker.com
I hate tynker.com because it is not very responsive and the graphics are blurry. The app is better because it is responsive and the images are sharp (ugh I keep getting off topic) so mainly I just want sound recording and importing. Also reviewing projects takes forever but it just takes one week. I updated Draw! to Draw! 2.1, which I did approximately two days ago. It took one week to actually publish Draw! 2.0. So mainly I'm asking you for faster moderators. I wonder why it takes so long. Also the hour of code projects take forever to download, since my wi-fi is slow. I only did the peep thing and bill of rights which I did crazy stuff on it and renamed it bill cipher of rights.
also some of the featured games are bad idk how an infinite animation of peep characters jump roping is so cool it's pretty easy to make
