Great game; UI needs work
I spent ages playing this on the web and was excited to see an iPhone version come out, but this app really doesn't lend itself to the kind of enjoyably mindless progression from letter to letter that the website offers. The interstitial "correct"/"wrong" screens are distracting and break up the flow; I don't know if their presence is required to hide the delay of loading the next letter or what, but I'd rather just see a spinner on the letter and have a "correct"/"wrong" bar drop down from the title area.
I'll still be playing this, as the mechanic's just as addicting as ever, but I'd hesitate to recommend it to a friend until the UI's a little less bothersome.
Elegantly simple and fluid app
The elegant UI and fluid animations make playing the game go by so fast. I just played for 20 minutes without realizing it. I find myself setting goals like "reach 100 points and then quit", but I just keep going and trying to improve my ranking. The nice thing is that is that you can leave the app and come back later right where you left off.
Great way to pass the time...
This is a great way to pass those little moments of time you'd normally spend gazing lazily out the window. Because it picks up right where you left off when you relaunch it, it's easy to get back into the groove of playing. The best endorsement I can give for this (or any) game is that its about evenly split with Bejeweled 2 in playtime on my iPhone.
