This new version of the ATT U-verse app does not work!!
I would love to be able to give this app a good review, but unfortunately I cannot. The newest version of this app simply does NOT work; it worked great before, but unfortunately you took something that worked perfectly fine and completely broke it and rendered it completely useless.
I've tried to get to the support area and that does not help either. I've tried to login several times and even uninstalled the app and re-installed it and that still produces an error message.
You need to get this fixed as soon as possible. We as customers pay a lot for our U-verse service and you talk up one of the additional benefits of having U-verse is being able to have this app to use and yet now we simply cannot longer use this app. This error needs to get fixed immediately!! There really is no reason that you would be launching an app that does not work. You are a technical communications company and this simply should not be happening.
Does Not Work...
Needs a ton of work. I am running iOS 9.3.2 on an iPhone 6S. These issues have plagued this application since I started using it in October (I assume before as well).
You have to select the receiver you are watching each time the remote app is brought up. Sometimes you have to select the receiver multiple times within the app even if you don't leave the app. This is ridiculous since the application is still running in the back ground or the foreground. I would understand if the app was closed.
As well as making you select the receiver all too often, it has to be killed via the task manager to select the receiver about 50% of the time. It just brings up the spinning wheel icon and never actually lists the receiver. When it does this, the app is hung and must be killed.
This is very annoying. And since this does not work, it negates a major reason why I went with Uverse. The sales person told me explicitly this could be used to control the TV since I knew the Uverse box would be hidden and not have line of sight for normal remote use.
Frequent Black Screen that never loads
So it frequently stays on a black screen loading and what I think I've realized is that it's a rights issue from being outside the home..because some stations will load and others won't and it's always the same stations affected. I disagree with it, but at least I understand the rights issue. The problem is, the app never tells you that's what's going on, it just keeps acting as if it's loading and never time out or tells you you're outside the home and cant watch it. Mom has time warner cable, dad has uverse so I've used both apps and the time warner cable is in a whole different league.
