At least it works
At least it works for me. Yes it definitely could be better...lets hope the DirectTV app provides some aspiration for the Uverse programming team--it has always been highly rated on the App Store. Adding a TV program as a Favorite should "do something" as it once did. It once was a grid particularly for date/time related to my favorites without having to resort to Buddy TV or clicking through program by program to see if a show MIGHT be on NOW or maybe in the next two weeks. What's the point of marking a favorite if the app isn't going to do anything with it?
Not very user friendly
The video freezes frequently while the audio keeps going. Sometimes I will shut down a show, shut down the app, come back and it will be playing the audio from the show I just stopped watching. And don't plan on watching the last 2-3 minutes of your show because null token for permission to watch what comes on NEXT will interrupt your viewing and not allow you to watch the last few minutes. I pay a lot for cable, this app is very much in need of improvement
This app requires ios 8 or later. While I understand that some apps need the newer operating systems, there is no legitimate reason whatsoever that this could not run on earlier versions. It should go back to at least ios 6. The programmers must be lazy. Or the powers-that-be are jerks.
Since ios 8 would slow down my iPad, I'm not updating to it (or 9 now) from 7. And U-Verse is forcing me to delete my current app, by needlessly forcing the prior version to expire. It worked fine.
Make a bad decision, U-Verse, get a bad rating. Turns out that you aren't so reliable after all.
