What's New in Version 2.2.88
NOTE: This new version corrects the crashing issues reported in previous versions by customers using iOS 7 and earlier operating systems.
We’ve redesigned the U.S. Bank Mobile app with you in mind, based on customer feedback. Our updated app includes a host of exciting new features to make banking on the go more convenient than ever:
•Make the app your own by adding a nickname and photo or avatar
•See your balance before you log in with the optional Instant Balance feature
•Pay bills, make transfers and send money FAST when the need arises with new expedited delivery options (fees apply)
•View eStatements and transaction details for most accounts right in the app
Improvements? I don't think so .... again and again
Another update just to clear out all of the negative reviews.
This 'improvement' is a huge leap backwards. While the performance did slightly improve with this latest version there are still way too many clicks before you see any real data. I'd still rather walk the 10 blocks to my nearest branch and use the ATM.
The information that used to be just a few clicks away is now buried deep in the app in a format that makes you scroll down many many pages to see anything.
Can I go back to the previous app?
Attention US Bank developers;
You need to go back to the drawing board and take was good in the old app. Namely; performance, easy navigation, more information on a screen.
Payment History takes forever to load. That is after it took me forever to even find it. And now it is not a list where I can see many transactions without scrolling. We now only see a few transactions on the screen instead of a nice list of transactions.
Please don't make my banking harder.
When I open the app, of course I want to log on. That's why I opened the app. Put the password box on the first page so I don't have to click to a separate password screen.
I can't believe they released a new version that is WORSE
Hats off to US Bank, I didn't think there could be a worse app than their original app but wow, they found a way. I can't even begin to list everything that is horrible about this new version. Their customer support is saying that there will be updates in the future to make it better but honestly, these problems can not be fixed with simple updates; they need to throw this out completely and start from scratch. The fact that they allowed this to be released really says a lot about their overall competency. I'll probably be closing all my accounts and leaving US Bank over this, which I realize sounds a little crazy, but it's 2015 and a company's smartphone app is too important to put up with something like this.
Clunky, difficult to navigate, awkward
I can't believe how frustrated I become trying to use this app. While the old app was far from perfect, I could at least navigate it with ease. Now I have to click through multiple unnecessary pages just to see my transactions, transfer money, or deposit checks. The screens are clunky and awkward, the layout is confusing, everything is absurdly SLOW, and the app is just poorly designed overall. US Bank would have been better off just adding Touch ID to the old app and calling it a day. This new app is awful.
Update: the newest version of the app appears to be a bit faster. Still much slower than I'm used to. Still have to click through far too many screens to see transaction information.
