Customer Reviews
Great, but could be better.
Honestly, I LOVE driving for Uber. There are lots of upsides like working when and where I want along with having the ability to interact with people in my city as well as throughly the country and even throughout the world. I do wish we could see what the rider looks like before we pick them up. I always give a smile and a wave to the person who I think I'm picking up, but am sometimes wrong and get weird looks.
I also wish the location of the rider was a bit more accurate. In some of the rural areas, pulling into a driveway so you don't block the whole side of the road gets weird when someone comes out and is like, "can I help you." The house ends up being two or three houses away sometimes.
One additional comment: would seriously love to see tipping available in the app. Not to toot my own horn, but people always want to leave tips but never have cash. Which is understandable in a world where your debit/credit card is the only thing you carry. I am one of those people.
Thank you for taking the time and consideration to read this. I hope to see a response. :)
Multiple pickup confusion and Rider's are not aware
Riders are not aware of possible difficulties at pickup locations. Such as corner of intersection or bus stop zone can not be fulfilled due to traffic violation. It's great to advice riders to request ride towards empty parking spot, driveway or white curb. In SF downtown Market/Mission towards Embarcadero you might want to pinpoint preferred pickup zones for riders at the major hotels, venues and pickup shoulders. Mark no pickup zones, to let riders know that there's no way to be picked up at the spot. Getting to other side of the street in a rush hour can be half a mile in a heavy traffic, not worth it. When I see possibility of citation, I don't care about rating, I stop where it's kind of legal can be half block away, other side or around the corner.
Swipe to confirm works for one rider pickup. With multiple riders it's too easy to swipe twice by mistake and confirm all while driving only one. Two or three swipe fields with offset and for multiple pickup to avoid double swipe and better understanding how many riders on a spot.
Not really partners
Updated app and still the same ?
Clears bad reviews , maybe ?
Listen to reviews and fix issues !!
I WILL change review with more stars when Uber fixes, these mandatory issues.
Enough of the cheesy badges , can I cash my badges in for money? NO.
I'm an All-Star driver getting treated like a scab .
Uber has unethical business practices.
They don't value their partners.
Many headlines in the news , involving scandalous actions by Uber .
Concept is great but company is not.
APP:
They manipulate their ratings system , especially during promotions/quests .
Airport queue is a joke.
They run their own government, make the rules that always benefits them.
Drivers have to deal with bad navigation, bad pickup locations, traffic laws for
drop offs and pickups, ungrateful people, safety of driver , riders and pedestrians, and a cluttered app that should be simple and SAFE !!!!
PAY :
Driving 25 minutes pickup/drop in Southern California for $2.40 fare is a slap in the face!!!!
This is highly un-motivating
Worst is they take most of the money for themselves , "upfront" pricing is another way to rip off driver , driver doesn't get paid to sit in traffic, as the fare is already calculated. And they get a "booking fee" On top of fare !!!!! Please ADJUST this. There is always traffic in Southern California, and traffic conditions change , in minutes.
