I normally use DoorDash but wanted an alternative if my restaurant wasn’t available with DD. I tried UberEATS three time. I completed the profile with my address including corresponding the one the app locator gave for my home. The food went to the wrong address anyway, but the driver called to confirm. This happened a second time. By the time the driver found a my house, the food was cold. Today, the driver was Dawayne called me, stating he was at my gate but couldn’t get in. When I went out, the fence was already open for a repairman. Never showed, so I assumed he also was directed to the wrong address. He didn’t deliver and didn’t take it back to the restaurant. There’s no way to call UberEATS if there’s a problem, just a message. After 30 minutes and 5 message. The last time I resorted to profanity. Then I got a call. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, the rep told me to call an 800 number. If a busy mom and pop joint without other employees can call me, it’s unacceptable a company as large as UberEATS/Uber cannot have a supervisor call or get on the line. Again, don’t waste your time with UberEATS. Caviar Foodjets an DoorDash are much better.

When there are no delivery issues this is a great app but unfortunately when there are the customer service response is severely lacking. On one occasion I was given an estimate of 15-25 minutes on my order but it hadn’t been picked up after an hour. I called support to see if they could give me an updated eta or cancel my order. They could not contact the restaurant so they said they could cancel my order but I would not be given a refund because they could not get in touch with the restaurant to tell them not to make the food. A few weeks later a decided to give the app another try. Everything was going smoothly and I got an update on my phone saying my order was arriving. A minute later though I get an update the driver canceled my order. I tried to call male driver and a female answered saying her brother used her phone number to sign up for uber. I then called uber and they refunded my order and told me to reorder but refused to give me as little as free delivery on the next order for my inconvenience. When I tried to email instead they didn’t read my email and insured me the charge in my card would drop off and I should contact my bank if I didn’t believe them. That wasn’t my concern at all and they completely ignored my issue with their service.

They expressed concern in the App Store so I contacted them again and they gave me the same response they did previously



I’ve used the app in the past and it works as expected. I’ve had to contact their customer service department in the past and have found the representatives as robotic and unable to resolve issues satisfactorily. After my last experience, I am can without a doubt proclaim UberEATS has the worst customer service of any business I’ve ever dealt with. I recently placed an order in error and immediately attempted to cancel transaction via the app and was unable to do so. I then called the UberEATS and spoke with a customer service rep who advised that the order could not be cancelled because the food was already prepared. This was not possible because from the time I placed the order to the time I was told the food was being prepared was less than 4 minutes. I was then told that I could cancel the order but I would still be charged. I attempted to explain that the app was not functioning properly and I should have been able to cancel the order without any intervention from customer service. The agent kept referring to their policy without actively listening to what I was saying. I asked to speak to a supervisor who was equally useless in that he too read from the script. There are many other food delivery services who perform the same function but are much more responsive to customer concerns and UberEATS should takes lessons in customer service from them.
