No help at all

Gamer girl 4595

Last night I was looking around on the app and put a few things in my cart but then I thought about it and decided the delivery fee was too much for me so I wanted to cancel it. I accidentally pressed place my order and IMMEDIATELY pressed cancel. Instead of canceling my order as soon as possible the button called uber support and the woman (after talking for ten minutes despite me telling her she had to call the place as soon as possible) told me the food had already been made so she couldn’t cancel. I didn’t understand why not pressing cancel didn’t cancel the Oder but that was just the first part of a very unpleasant hour. I ask her if there’s anything I can do to fix it and she repeated the same thing over and over. I hung up and called the KFC store the woman there told me the app doesn’t allow for them to cancel and she’s tried several times. She also said the woman from uber told her she couldn’t cancel because the driver was there contradicting what uber told me. I asked for a manager and the uber woman said she didn’t have one. So not only is every customer assistant stupid but also incompetent and unsupervised. I called a different uber support woman and she told me she could’ve canceled it if it hadn’t been sent out and when I told her about the previous woman she said there was nothing she could do. So I just spent money on food I didn’t want because uber assistance doesn’t know how to do there job and assist. Not ordering from them again.

This certainly sounds like a frustrating experience. The feedback from our consumers is vitally important to us, and we always want their expectations to be met. Let us know more about it by dropping the details at and we'll connect.

Uber Eats Drivers Steal, company does nothing

Update: I will no longer use Uber Eats. My past three orders have consisted of items not showing up, me going to the places, and having managers show me that the order was made correctly (one was actually completed by the manager herself). So, clearly the drivers are stealing food/drinks from the customer. Then, the drivers have the audacity to say “call the restaurant because they didn’t give me everything”. I call Uber Eats, and they say they will “escalate it” and refund me (which they do). However, that is NOT how you handle theft. Refunding me doesn’t not make it better for the customer- we still lose out on the food we order. Not to mention, we pay the $4.99 booking fee for our food to arrive, and we don’t get that back at all. Your company needs to do a better job of screening people who deliver for you- especially if you’re not going to have any protocol for handling theft. There’s literally no phone number to call for the businesses you contract with outside of Uber Eats either. All the liability is on the restaurant and yet, these shady drivers get to continue to operate as independent contractors. Telling me “well their reviews will let other customers know what they do” is not a solution. We cannot choose who delivers our food. I’ve lost time and money having faith in this- I’d much rather just pay the restaurant and their delivery driver.

This doesn't sound right. We're always looking to improve your experience with Uber and this certainly sounds like something we need to dive into. It would be great if you could provide us some specific details, by writing in at and we'll take it up from there.

Poor customer service

Customer of over a year

When there are no delivery issues this is a great app but unfortunately when there are the customer service response is severely lacking. On one occasion I was given an estimate of 15-25 minutes on my order but it hadn’t been picked up after an hour. I called support to see if they could give me an updated eta or cancel my order. They could not contact the restaurant so they said they could cancel my order but I would not be given a refund because they could not get in touch with the restaurant to tell them not to make the food. A few weeks later a decided to give the app another try. Everything was going smoothly and I got an update on my phone saying my order was arriving. A minute later though I get an update the driver canceled my order. I tried to call male driver and a female answered saying her brother used her phone number to sign up for uber. I then called uber and they refunded my order and told me to reorder but refused to give me as little as free delivery on the next order for my inconvenience. When I tried to email instead they didn’t read my email and insured me the charge in my card would drop off and I should contact my bank if I didn’t believe them. That wasn’t my concern at all and they completely ignored my issue with their service.

They expressed concern in the App Store so I contacted them again and they gave me the same response they did previously

We understand this can be frustrating and we are working towards making this better. We would appreciate it if you could send out a description of this with details at and we will take it up from there.
