Uber is a ridesharing app for fast, reliable rides in minutes—day or night. There’s no need to park or wait for a taxi or bus. With Uber, you just tap to request a ride, and it’s easy to pay with credit or cash in select cities.

Whether you’re going to the airport or across town, there’s an Uber for every occasion. Uber is available in more than 500 cities worldwide—download the app and take your first trip today.

Requesting your Uber is easy—here’s how it works:
- Just open the app and tell us where you’re going.
- The app uses your location so your driver knows where to pick you up.
- You’ll see your driver’s picture, vehicle details, and can track their arrival on the map.
- Payment can be made by credit card, cash in select cities, Apple Pay, PayPal, and more.
- After the ride, you can rate your driver and provide feedback to help us improve the Uber experience. You’ll also get a receipt by email.

Need a simple way to get from A to B quickly? Take uberX, our most affordable individual option.

Customer Reviews

Fine. Nothing more, nothing less.

Uber was one of the most revolutionary apps released recently, key word being was. It serves its purpose well, but there are many key aspects that need to be addressed. Please keep in mind that these are specifically what I find most annoying about this app. First of all, both the driver and the passenger should be able to see each other's photo and contact information. Second, when I have a driver who is truly outstanding, I would like to be able to tip them. Lyft has already implemented these features very well, and that is why Uber has been slowly losing popularity. Third, if Uber says that minors aren't allowed to order, then drivers should get an incentive to turn them away.
Finally, I have a huge tip for all of the employees at Uber: the update changelog isn't an advertising space. I want to know what changes when the app updates. It seems very desperate when you are begging for five star reviews is your update notes.
Anyway, my final recommendation is: use uber if you care about being picked up quicker, but use Lyft if you have anything scheduled or if you prefer the amenities. Lyft undoubtedly has a better app, but Uber has more users (but this will soon change if they continue to ignore the feedback they have been receiving)

Uber does not care about its riders or drivers just about making their money. I've had an incident where I was trying to get home after a long day of work and the driver they linked me to did not want to pick me up due to the construction in the area. He kindly told me he would cancel and I agreed. Once it was canceled I requested another ride. I did and surprise, I was linked to the same driver that canceled on me who was much farther away now. He called me again and let me know he would cancel again which he did. At this point the app is on the home screen no rides or requests have been made. I used lyft instead so that I wouldn't be bothered with connecting with the same uber driver again. Imagine how upset I was after already being in my lyft ride to get a call from another uber driver stating he is at my pick up. I DID NOT REQUEST ANOTHER RIDE AFTER BEING CANCELED ON TWICE. I was charged a cancellation fee for a ride I never requested and tried multiple times to contact uber help about this issue, which they blatantly ignored me. They even deleted the help messages I have sent because it is no longer available for me to see it. I had to call my bank to dispute the charge. This is not the only problem I have but it is the most upsetting. I've heard bad stories from drivers as well. My recommendation is to stay away from uber and use lyft.

$20 coupon: "UberAMP64ue” 👍👍

If you haven’t taken a ride yet make sure you use the coupon "AMP64ue" and get $20 off your first ride! Seriously!!

Enter it right before you request a ride in the promotions tab. Might as well try it out since it likely won't cost you a thing!

The app is easy to use and intuitive, giving you important info like the driver’s face, phone number, and car make/model. It’s amazing how quick and seamless the entire process is. A car comes to your door within minutes of pressing a button! The drivers are real people, they are very polite and their cars are clean! Some even come with complimentary water and candy! Even if you want to charge your phone, a lot of drivers have car chargers at your ready! UberX is definitely cheaper than your average cab. After all this, I don’t see why you would ever use a cab again. Even if you want to get a black car on the occasional night out, it’s still cheaper and more convenient than hiring your own private driver.

The customer support is also fantastic. I got overcharged on one of my trips and I didn’t have to say anything more than a comment on my driver feedback to get a refund. I’m very happy and I hope Uber continues to exceed my expectations in not only the app but customer service! I also prefer Uber much more than other competitors, mainly because they have so much more supply and cars are always just a few minutes away, and price is usually the cheapest.
