Requesting your Uber is easy—here’s how it works:

- The app uses your location so your driver knows where to pick you up.
- You’ll see your driver’s picture, vehicle details, and can track their arrival on the map.
- Payment can be made by credit card, cash in select cities, Apple Pay, PayPal, and more.
- After the ride, you can rate your driver and provide feedback to help us improve the Uber experience. You’ll also get a receipt by email.

Ratings and Reviews
When we need to get somewhere quickly and cheaply, this popular ride-sharing app motors to our rescue. We appreciate the variety in our vehicle choices—from budget-friendly carpools to swanky SUVs—as much as we love knowing when our ride is arriving and exactly how much it’ll cost. Heck, now we even use it as a verb: “We’re going to Uber to your place. Be right there!”
Needs a few things
I use Uber daily for work, and I have two massive complaints. The first complaint is that you need to figure out your GPS system because the number of times where I have had to give instructions on how to get where I'm actually going because the GPS doesn't work is absolutely insane for service has been around for as long as Uber has been around. My second complaint is directly related to the languages that your drivers speak. You should be able to give people the option to select a driver based off of the language that they speak as a primary language. I do not speak Creole I do not speak Spanish and therefore it is not right that I should have to be subjected to a driver who does not speak my primary language and run the risk of making me late for work or have to drop me off elsewhere and I have to walk where I'm going because they can't understand where I am going. I honestly can't tell you the number of times that I have had to cancel trips because the driver doesn't speak English will not answer the phone and cannot understand text messages that I send them instructing them to where I actually am. So instead of giving your riders the ability to choose what music is playing, which honestly is a stupid option, how about give your riders the ability to select the primary language of their drivers. Being able to guarantee that the driver than you were being picked up by speaks whatever language you speak as a primary language would be an invaluable tool.
We understand this can be frustrating and we are working towards making this better. It would be great if you could provide us some specific details, by writing in at t.uber.com/contact and we'll take it up from there.
Firstly, let’s talk about the poor GPS system Uber has as of late. I’ve have three Uber’s cancel on me in one day while I was trying to make it to work on time bc Uber put the wrong location for my pickup even after I chose my home as the pickup location. This has happened on several occasions and I had to dispute cancellation fees and ride fees. Then, on more than one occasion I had the unfortunate case of my Uber starting the trip without me in the car and I had to cancel the ride and again dispute cancellation charges. And last but not least I want to touch on the Ride Pass and why I advise that you don’t waste your money on it. The way the Ride Pass is advertised you would think that you get a set fare for all of your rides as long as they’re within New York City. Well that couldn’t be further from the truth because as it turns out the “set fare” only applies to the places (to and from) in which you were going when you purchased the Ride Pass. So let’s say you were going from home to work and they gave you a set pool price and a set X price that only applies to you going from home to work and back. Every other ride is priced at the flat rate fare and it’s subject to change every time. All and all it’s a scam, ten dollars isn’t much but it’s the principle and the false advertisement that’s going on with the purchase of a Ride Pass. So if you want to save yourself ten dollars I say skip on the Ride Pass and just stick to the regular prices.
