The uKnowMobile™ app for iOS and uKnowKids help parents monitor their child's iPhone, iPad and iPod activity by providing important information on how, when and where your child uses their Apple mobile device.

Specifically, the uKnowMobile app for iOS enables parents to monitor their child's location with a robust suite of family locator services. In addition, uKnowMobile enables parents to review pictures taken, sent, and received on their child’s iPhone, iPad or iPod.

The uKnowMobile app for iOS is an optional, companion mobile app for uKnowKids members who need to monitor their child's iMessages, SMS text messages, and MMS text messages sent, received and deleted; phone calls made, received and missed; iOS contacts; installed mobile applications; device location; photos taken with the iOS device; and photos / videos shared via iMessage.

Again, the uKnowMobile app for iOS supports location and photo/image monitoring. All of the other uKnowKids features are enabled via iCloud.

Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Location and image data collected from the phone are sent and stored on protected, secured uKnowKids servers upon the installation approval of the user.

Scam! Don't Buy


Don't Buy! I signed up for the "free" trial and could not get it to work with my sons phone. Their support team told me it was an issue with a recent Apple update and being in the IT field, I understood that. I kindly told them I needed a program immediately and informed them to cancel my trial and I would go elsewhere. A few days later, I was charged the full amount. I contacted them for a refund and they refused. I had my assistant follow up with it and eventually they stopped even replying by email. She called a dozen times and left voicemails and never returned a call. They also deleted my account. So, I've paid full price for the product, have no account, and cannot get anyone from support to even return an email or phone call. I believe this was once a good program and I have even recommended it to many people prior to this. Now, I believe it is a scam. Do Not Buy!!!

As you know by now, I am quite familiar with you and your account history as we responded to your assistant's many, many support requests many, many times last year. Therefore, I thought I would share a few facts that might help put your comments into the appropriate context for readers.

First, I am sorry that you were unhappy. We sincerely tried to help you within the bounds of what was possible.

We certainly appreciate your passion, but as you know, you DID receive a full refund from uKnowKids contrary to your comments above. As we have pointed out to you already in different venues, it takes 5-10 business days for credit cards refunds to be processed by the financial systems. That is due to the financial processes and infrastructure that exists for ecommerce companies in today's credit card systems. That is a fact that we cannot overcome for you unfortunately.

In addition, contrary to your posted notes above, you did NOT cancel your uKnowKids account “a few days” after signing up for uKnowKids. The fact is that you cancelled your uKnowKids account 52 days AFTER you signed up with uKnowKids which was many, many weeks after the expiration of your free trial period.

It is true that you sent us an email at some point asking us to cancel your account for you, and when you did that, we politely and immediately responded with instructions on how you could cancel your account if you desired.

The cancellation instructions were for you to simply login and then click on the Cancel button. It was that simple. No barriers to cancelling. Just click on the Cancel button. We sent you these instructions numerous times.

We simply ask you to take 30 seconds to cancel your account yourself so that we can protect your account from unauthorized changes and more importantly, so that we can protect your children's private social media and phone data from the eyes of third parties... Including members of uKnowKids' staff who are prohibited from accessing user accounts under any circumstances.

Neither you nor your assistant followed our simple instructions until day 52. In the meantime, we properly charged you our service fee as expected. This was an automatic transaction that was processed by our technology systems at the completion of your free trial period as promised and expected.

As we have communicated with you many, many, many times, we cannot accept an unverifiable email or phone call as the cancellation method. That is not secure, and as you know, we are a security company. We ask you to login and click on the cancel button because that is a secure method of cancellation that ensures that you, the account holder, are actually the person cancelling your account. This not a scam, but rather, a smart and responsible policy designed to protect you and your family's privacy, security and safety.

It is worth noting that your support requests actually did NOT come from you, the account owner. As you state in your comments above, your support cases were actually filed by an unknown third party who we could not possibly verify as an authorized account user of your account (where the private information of your children was posted). That is a perfect example of why we require cancellations to be effected only after you verify your identity with an account login.

No responsible company would allow an unverified individual to request a cancellation of another user's account. That would be a massive security fail. uKnowKids followed the proper security procedures here.

In addition and as we described to you MANY times in response to your assistant’s many emails and calls, none of our support staff could not cancel your account for you because our staff is prohibited from logging into your account because we cannot allow your child's private information to be compromised by anyone and most especially by our team.

Regardless, uKnow DID provide you with a full, 100% refund 8 days before your comments above. We did this in spite of the Terms of Service and Cancellation & Refund Policy that you agreed to on the day of your purchase which states that there will be "NO REFUNDS." We did this in spite of the fact that you took 52 days to cancel your uKnowKids account many weeks after the expiration of your free trial period. We did this in spite of the fact that we received and responded to many, many, many, many many support cases from an unknown third party claiming to be speaking on your behalf asking us again and again for for us to do something that we could not do for you. The fact is that uKnowKids provided you with a full, 100% refund.

Total garbage for iOS


Whatever you do - DO NOT PURCHASE THIS SERICE IF YOU USE AN IPHONE. It is completely non-functional.

I purchased a lifetime subscription to install on my kids iPhones. It worked for about one month and then stopped working at all. This company is not interested in keeping up with security changes to iOS which is the crux of the problems. I paid $120 for a lifetime subscription and thought it reasonable to expect a refund for a service that clearly does not function as promised. Unfortunately, the company has a different opinion and told me to go pound sand and they really do not care that it does not work for us. They have their money and that is all they care about. BUYER BEWARE!!!!

Based on your review, it sounds like your issue is not with the uKnowMobile app (because it does not have anything to do with your Apple ID or impact your Apple ID in any way), but rather, the uKnowKids service. I am sorry that you experienced challenges. uKnowKids actually provides parents with TWO different technologies to monitor iPhones, and it sounds like you have not yet attempted to utilize the uKnowKids with Apple iTunes technology that we launched last year to address your specific concerns. Our uKnowKids with Apple iTunes technology completely eliminates the issues you experienced with Apple iCloud because we do not rely upon iCloud as a source of data (Therefore, we have no connection to your Apple ID). I encourage you to email support@uknowkids.com and ask them to help you get set up with uKnowKids with Apple iTunes as soon as possible. I hope this is helpful.

I have been on this program for about 18 months now. I truly love the ability to see what and who my kids are interacting with. I have found several times where their "friends" were giving them some bad advice. Helped me talk them throught their friends advice and talk to them about the possible outcomes.
