Roommates 🙃 UPDATED
[ This is an update to my review since I recently had a bad experience and would like to figure out why this happened. My roommate was trying to contact customer support for some help on one of her bills. She texted Unbill from the apps help tab on Wednesday and didn’t get a response till Friday. I thought this was very unusual for my history with Unbill’s customer service, since it was always quick and polite. So I texted them Thursday and also didn’t get a response till Friday. What is going on? This worries me as a user of Unbill and if I can trust them with my information. When it comes to my bills and money I expect quick action, I hate late fees. Please fix this I really like Unbill and it’s convenient but this long of a wait is unacceptable for matters regarding my wallet on a business day. ]
We all know how how "fun" paying bill are. Especially when you live with other people. This app saved my life. No more budgeting, collecting money waiting to pay a bill; it's all here in unbill. Convince is what you get and an excellent customer support.
Recently had a horrible experience with Unbill app. They are bad and inaccurate at updating payments. Recently paid my at&t bill on the 1st of the month and the app displayed it was paid for well over a week now.
Low and behold I receive a phone call from at&t this morning saying my bill is past due and now I've accumulated late fees due to me being under the assumption that Unbill had already taken care of the bill as it displayed.
I called customer service and spoke with the manager about the situation and all she had to say was sorry there's nothing we can do about it. Is there anything I can help you with ?
Totally not the customer service I was expecting especially coming from a manager. No sympathy or remorse. Now I'm a month behind and have accumulated late fees. THANKS UNBILL APP!
I told all my friends about the app and had them download it in support but after this HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE I will be having all my friends uninstall the app.
Dumbest App Ever
My roommate and I had a horrible experience with this app. She and I were unable to link accounts at all, due to the idiotic requirement that neither user have a prior Unbill account. The app instructions are ambiguous regarding inviting another user to your group; the inability to fully disconnect bills from a previous accounts prevents using this app in a separate account. After multiple attempts and incredible frustration, both my roommate and I have expended all email and Facebook accounts. Suffice to say, both apps have been deleted and removed. I'm sure this app is incredibly helpful under ideal circumstances, but any complication at all and it breaks down entirely. Unfortunate, indeed, as we were very excited about simplifying our bill splitting. Now, on to looking for another, more thoughtfully and efficiently designed, app.
