Time machine is wonderful, but it makes a mobile Mac user cry- waiting for a backup to finish or cancel before we rush to a meeting makes life difficult. unDock adds a simple but critical piece of functionality to your Mac- an "Eject All" shortcut with super powers.
When you're ready to go, use either the keyboard shortcut (default: Control-Option-Command-Space) or the menu bar icon to unDock. All removable disks will instantly be ejected.
Feel the need to make unDock do more? You can supply your own AppleScripts that will be run when unDock is triggered.
What's New in Version 2.1
This version fixes a few bugs that crept into the 2.0 branch, including specific support for SD cards and other disk types. In short, the "Eject" options now work exactly as you want them too.
Ads are NOT okay in a paid app
Updating my review from yesterday - got in touch with the developer and it looks like the marketing notification was a one time glitch intended for the other version. With his quick reply to my feedback and the straightforward, reliable functionality of the app I’m happy to give it five stars.
Absolutely fantastic. Perfect for laptop users.
I've used unDock for over 2 years now. I've got an external hard drive (with a 3 partitions) and 2 USB flash drives that I use for backup as well. Anytime that I need to unplug my macbook pro, unDock ejects/unmounts all drives with a single key press.
Every single time.
works as advertised more or less
Still got a notification for a christmas advert on first use - mildly annoying!
Thunderbolt drives need to be explicitly assigned for unmounting iin preferences?
Quite a usefull utility
