Join the UNICEF Kid Power Team and turn your everyday activity into lifesaving food for severely malnourished children around the world. Families, friends and classrooms can join together and activate their inner hero to see who can get in the most steps and have the greatest impact on any given day, week or month!
DAILY CHALLENGES: For our home users, you can now complete daily challenges to earn extra Power Points and RUTF with your daily activity!
ROSTERING FOR SCHOOLS: Now you can build and manage your classroom roster in the app! If you haven’t rostered your students yet, log in and it’ll happen just after a short tutorial. If you’ve already added some students, but want to add more, you can do it in the profile view.
SCHOOL PROGRAM FIXES: We found an annoying crash during syncing so we fixed that. We also updated the RUTF popup and a few other little things.
THANKS FOR YOUR FEEDBACK: Your feedback tells us what’s broken, what works for you and what can be better. Keep the notes coming, major or minor, we roll them into our updates all the time.

Great App, one problem
So love the whole idea of this app and the band. I’ve been using it for a while and have come across one issue. The method of transferring steps.
The problem is that sometimes I forget to input steps for a long time, then all of a sudden kid a month’s worth of steps into the app. With the old format it didn’t matter how many steps I inputted at once. Now I have approximately 700,000 (edit: 900,000 :D) steps that I’ve accrued and just don’t have the time to insert in.
It got better with the addition of not having to hold down the button, but with the app constantly pausing on every milestone it’s still very annoying.
My suggestion is to just add a feature that skips everything and load it on its own.
Just to mention again, I totally support the cause and want to help, I just don’t want to sit down for an hour pressing a button to do so
Developer Response ,
First off, thanks so much for your support, and all the activity--congrats!
Thanks for taking the time to write in, and for your feedback. We're always working to make UNICEF Kid Power better, more fun, and more helpful, so we really appreciate it when you, our Kid Power Team, offer your valuable feedback. Thanks for the help!
I've forwarded this request to our QA team who will add it to our feature request list--hopefully you'll see your request addressed in a future version of the Kid Power app!
Power points are killing motivation
This app was great to start but now my kid is completely demotivated as he has moved very far along in all three maps available. Now he is having to wait two weeks to move forward as he is having to accrue 20+ points to unlock. Finally has enough points to unlock and has 100k steps but was locked out again after 5 stations and still has 50k steps left. Most parents don’t want to spend $5 on keys that will be gone after 1 use just to have it lock again. Either need more maps or reduce the power point requirements to only 10 so the kids still feel like they are making a difference while exercising. Will delete the app if changes are not made to the incentives.
This app is so cute, and such a good idea. I love the idea of getting active and helping people at the same time. I would definitely recommend this app if you are trying to stay active because it definitely motivates me knowing that every step I take is going to help a child in need.
Also, if for whatever reason you think things like this are a scam, you should still get it anyways. It’s completely free, and all you have to do is get active which is helping you in the long run.
So overall definitely such a good app, 10/10 would recommend.
