Can’t add miles to flights
The biggest problem I had with this app is actually the same problem I’m having with the actual website, which is that you can’t add your mileageplus information to a reservation. For over a year, I’ve had to call into United to add my Mileageplus information to my flights. When I try to add it on the “Edit traveler information” on the website, I get a message asking that I please enter a valid account number. On the app, there’s just no way to add the number. SO once again, I have to call in. Which is horrible.
I’ve the in flight wifi and entertainment on my flight. It's great. It would be great if United had hotspots at their terminals and checked in passengers could access this to watch movies/tv while they're waiting for their flight. Especially if it's delayed. It Would also be nice if I received updates as part of notifications on my phone for gate changes or flight cancelations. I've almost missed flights because the gate changed and I didn't get that update on my phone. Or I've left my house to go to the airport when I didn't have to because I wasn't updated on a cancelation. Not very cool. The united card should also be added to passport. All the other airlines have this. Why not united??
Useless. Do not download.
United forces you to use this app for any of their "free" in-flight movies. My friends, nothing in life is free including this stupid app that doesn't work. United isn't clear about downloading the app in advance and forget trying to use wifi on the plane to download because by the time the download is complete your flight will be over. Even if you have the app ahead of time the movies don't load, screen is black, or the app crashes. As a side note, don't let United trick you into buying "premier access" either. You literally get nothing for it. I was told by a gate agent "everyone buys that now so it's the same" - referring to security lines and and first group boarding. United also charges more for economy plus than any other airline and it's also no difference from any other seat. Do not be fooled people. All airlines try to charge for everything but United is by far he worst.
I wouldn't even give it 1 star
THE SINGLE WORST APP IN EXISTANCE. Allright so if you're on the new United flights you're outta luck. Buy movies before. United airlines removes all tvs from their planes, then makes you have to use this app on their closed circuit wifi so you can only stream what they provide, but what they don't tell you is that you have to download a 3rd party software before you get on the flight, but you won't get that prompt until you're trying to access the movie in the air, and even if you pay money to use their satellite wifi, you still can't download through their service. The design team they hired for this needs to be fired. Will not be flying with United again after this terrible "upgrade." 10 hour flight with nothing to do and no information provided about this new system until you're on the plane
