It’s okay 🤷🏾♀️
Okay so, first time around, it had a few glitches. When you first download it, it takes a while for you to be able to play (experienced this on my iPhone X). For about 10-20 minutes it will be stuck on “play”, so if you’re downloading it, be prepared to wait!
The game is great, bear mind if you’re in an area that does not have LTE or 4G, or your plan does not support LTE or 4G, it will irritatingly freeze or slow down or “load”. It doesn’t do ANY good on 3G! So if you don’t have WiFi or LTE, be prepared to be annoyed.
There’s a HUGE glitch. Sometimes the game will lose connection, but it will come back online and it says “reconnected successfully”. You’ll be able to see how other players are doing in the background, but you won’t be able to play because the “loading” symbol will be on the screen, blacking out the game screen, (I experienced this whilst on functional, fast speed LTE) so the only way to get back in the game is to force shut the app and restart it, you could lose the entire game whilst doing so!
The developers respond to criticisms, which is great, but the app has a long way to sustainability.
Developer Response ,
Dear player, please don't keep tapping the "Play" button and need to wait no less than 10 seconds after you tapped the "Play" button, to see whether it could run normally.
Sorry for the inconvenience. If it doesn't work, please contact us by sending e-mail to our official e-mail, which is: UNO@mattel163.com . Thank you for your support.
Less annoying than the other one...
I love UNO, and I was excited to see a new version in the App Store after another uno multiplayer that shall not be named. It’s definitely less annoying than that one, but the coin element is still in place. From a business perspective it makes sense so the developers can take advantage of kids with their parents’ credit cards, but from a players perspective it doesn’t. Why not just let people play how/when they want?
Speaking of children: the graphics get very annoying, very fast. All the crazy colors and graphics are disorienting, which I think ties into an ethics problem: its the same tactic casinos use with slot machines/other electronic gambling games, and there’s definitely a gambling element involved. The more coins you have, the higher you can “bid” (although more often than not you end up losing 80% of your coins this way and are knocked back to start the cycle over again). This makes the game pretty addictive (in a bad way), so beware recovering gambling addicts!
It really takes the fun out of a simple tabletop game that shouldn’t have to resort to these gimmicks to rope people in.

Dear player, thank you for your feedback. We will collect your valuable suggestion and pass it to our development team for further review. Thank you for your support.
I get that some are comparing this to Gameloft’s version of Uno — I was a die-hard fan too, and sad to see it go — but this version fills the hole nicely. It does take a little getting used to if you liked the other version, but after a couple weeks of playing it, I’m sold. And it seems to have way fewer issues, than Gameloft’s did. (Plus, when they are down for system maintenance, etc., they give you rewards to help ease the pain — works for me!). There are also some fun and interesting spins on the game that, I think, make it more enjoyable. And there are a ton of ways to earn free tokens so it’s easy to play without having to pay money! The only complaint I have is that they don’t seem to give a thorough explanation of the features, at least none that I can find within the game itself. I imagine there’s probably something on the internet somewhere, but I’ve mostly been learning the ropes from trial and error. All-in-all, I’d highly recommend it for your Uno fix!
