UnPlugged is an application that notifies you when the power cord of the MacBook is unplugged or plugged back in. It also notifies you in regular steps about your batteries capacity while you run on battery or while you charge your battery.
Notifications are done using the Notification Center, Growl or with a built in notification window.
UnPlugged stays completely invisible while monitoring your power plug. Only a small Menu Item is visible, showing the current battery status.
- Notification Center Support
- Different Notification Intervals for Full or Empty Batteries
- Improved Menu Item

great little app only one thing missing
While it gives a good visual display which is configurable, it would be even better if you could set a audible alarm at a certain percentage. This would make it perfect. Lots of time my MAC is doing a conversion and I’m away from it for a bit only to come back and find the battery depleted.
The app is great if you the kind that forgets to plug in your laptop. The reason why I did not give it 5 stars it's because, I think a few things could be added such as more info about the battery for example the amount of cycles and how many are remaining before servicing. A dimming option for the display when plugged in. If the developper considers adding this that would truly be a 5 star app. The developper is very responsive as well.
Add Applescript Control
This could be a 5 star Star if you added the ability to run an Applescript when the power cord is unplugged. Lots of people have had Time Machine drives crash because of a power outage so you put the TM drive on a UPS and when the power goes out, Unplugged with fire off an Applescript to unmount the drive before it gets trashed. Think outside the box!
With Family Sharing set up, up to six family members can use this app.
